To look or not to look?

The answer is completely up to you! We often hear couples going back and forth between whether or not they want to have a first look or not. Many use the first look as a way to calm the nerves, exchange private vows, say a prayer, see each other privately before they say “I do”, take photos, the list goes on! However, if a first look isn’t really your thing or you don’t want to see each other until you are walking down the aisle, then maybe a first touch is more your style! This is perfect for couples who want to keep their final looks a surprise, but still want a private moment together before ceremony. Your Blue crew and photographers will help get you and your love get to a intimate spot in your venue to meet up for a blindfolded hug, a little hand hold around a corner, or maybe even standing back to back. Both moments allow the nerves the subside, gives you a chance to talk to one another and simply be present!

The past year was filled with love, laughter, and lots of happily ever afters! We got to work at amazing venues, meet and work alongside outstanding vendors, and serve the absolute best clients. The long hours and late nights of dedicated planning were beyond worth it, after seeing our plans come to life and making our clients dreams a reality. However, none of it would’ve been possible without the vendors who teamed up with us in order to put on a 5-star event! We couldn’t be more thankful for all of your hard work, effort, and kindness. The Blue Crew loves you, thanks you, and wishes you all the best this year!

From ceremony to sweet heart table in the swipe of a finger….we wish it was as simple as that! It may not be as instant, but it gets done quick with the help of an amazing event day staff. You may hear the word “flip” used throughout the planning process and maybe even on event day. The term “flip” refers to the process of transforming a space from one thing to another. This gorgeous part of Camino Real Ranch commonly called “The Green house”, was set for ceremony and then it was quickly flipped into the reception space for the remainder of the night! Moreover, your Blue Crew will move your ceremony florals at this time to extend their life and showcase the arrangements in various parts of reception. This couple had a lush and romantic sweet heart table moment, with the help of ceremony arrangements being “flipped”!

If you haven’t experienced a night like that, we hope our description allowed your imagination to take you there! Dinner is a time to share memories, maybe create a few new ones, visit with those you haven’t seen, and enjoy a delicious meal. Have you ever thought about what dinning experience you would like for you and your cherished guests? If not, that’s okay! Here are a few popular styles that the Blue Crew has seen:

✨Plated✨
•If you would like to have your guests served table side, then this would be a great dining option! When you decide to have a plated meal, your guests will make their dinner selections prior to event day. This choice is usually made on a card sent with your rsvp and allows them to select what entrée they would like!

✨Buffet✨
•We have a feeling you may know what this style entails, but we will share a few details just incase! If you choose to serve dinner through a buffet, this allows your guests to assemble their own meal. This is a great option if you have guests with particular preferences because they get to choose exactly what’s on their plate and how it’s placed.

✨Family Style✨
•This dinner is exactly how it sounds! Dinner is served to each table in family size portions. Each dish is passed around and guests serve themselves. This style of dinning also allows guests more control on what they would like on their plate! Moreover, it strikes up conversation and helps break the ice if you don’t know everyone at your table. The question of “Can you please pass the veggies?” can quickly turn into a fun dancing partner or someone to share a laugh with later on in the night!

Cocktails 🍸or Mocktails🍹? WHY NOT BOTH?!

Let’s talk bar with Blue! When the time comes to start preparing your bar order, selecting signature drinks, and figuring out what you want behind the bar here are a few things to consider:

✨How many of your guests drink and don’t drink?

✨What is your go-to drink at social gatherings or a night out on the town?

✨Do you want bar glasses or will disposables be just fine?

✨Are there specific brands you like in your drinks?

All of these questions aid in bringing your bar to life on event day and ensure your bartenders have everything they need! There are so many benefits to having both mocktails and cocktails on your signature menu! Allowing your guests the option to have a mocktail makes your non-drinkers feel included and gives them something fancy to sip on throughout the night! Of course water, tea, lemonade and sodas are available but it’s nice to have a unique non-alcoholic refreshment at the bar. This also turns the question of “Why aren’t you drinking?” into “Oooohh what are you drinking?”, which your non-drinking guests will thank you for!

More often than not, guests leave behind the items that our wonderful clients spend so much time making and paying for. Whether it’s a custom koozie, personalized fan, or specially made drinking glass, your Blue Crew is packing up the stragglers that get left behind on event day and now you are stuck with 50+ fans with your face on them.

There are endless options to gift your guests as a way to say thank you for being there on your special day, however from experience we know this sweet treat won’t get left behind on event day!

We have seen some amazing grand exits and we wanted to share one of our favs! This beautiful couple took off to cloud 9 after they said “I do” in this jaw dropping chopper. They shared smiles under the magical light of sparklers, held by their cherished loved ones. Then headed to their private helicopter to fly off into their happily ever after!
