Honored to cater another beautiful wedding this weekend. The menu featured a gluten and dairy free menu, customized mocktails, and tea service go with dessert. The bride requested we make everything disposable and designed for individual servings. Kind of loving these individual crudités & charcuterie boxes.

24 days and counting down untileverything is official and done and I will be 100% owner of the business Julie's Coffee & Tea Garden.

I am so grateful for all of the support, donations, words of encouragement, enthusiasm and love the community has shared with me thus far and cannot wait to see what this next phase brings.

In this final push, I am asking everyone to please share my GoFundMe page, and if able, to make a contribution. I am so close to hitting my fundraising goal! Thanks to some very generous and anonymous donations, I have just about covered the costs for the down payment on the business, and now just need to raise a couple thousand more to cover basic expenses like closing costs, opening new accounts with utilities, internet, etc.

Mark your calendars! The 24th of September is my birthday AND the next afternoon tea party at . Help me celebrate my bday (same week as Shannon Cooks 7th anniversary [!!!]) by enjoying my latest menu of small bites & treats.

For September I’ll be focusing on utilizing my favorite late summer & early fall produce. The menu will also feature some items with meat (IYKYK) Gluten free & kid friendly options available as well.

Shannon has launched a new pie flavor and for the month of July if you try her new blackberry key lime pie, the proceeds will go directly to her to offset the costs of buying the cafe. Helping out has never tasted so sweet! 😋

This Sunday

Check out this family friendly event featuring all sorts of interactive arts, vendors, galleries, live music… and make sure to stop by my booth for some food and non-alcoholic bevs.

And have I mentioned that all the profits from my booth go to the non-profit that puts this event on each year, along with a bunch of others. The weather should be great - come by and say hi!

Had a magical time out at Victoria Island Farms with Julie picking fresh blueberries.
It’s a 10/10 experience - especially if you go early before the heat and finish off with some blueberry lemonade or a whiskey tasting at
Sabbatical located right next to the field.

Edit: I’ve deleted that portion from my fundraiser and it should be live again soon. Thank you to those that reached out concerned about the page being down.

So it turns out you aren’t allowed to reward donors on GoFundMe. They temporarily disabled my fundraiser for including the following:

“For donations of $150 or more, donors will receive a pie of their choice
Donations of $600 or more will be invited to a special donor dinner party”

I had no idea! 😅
But please know that I am keeping track and will still be giving back to those supporting me as mentioned above and however else I decide to express my gratitude. Hopefully this updated information will allow my fundraiser to reactivate soon. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! I’m about 1/50 of the way to my goal!

I’ve been keeping a secret from you all… and I’m so exited to finally share what’s been brewing!

I am in the process of purchasing Julie’s Coffee & Tea Garden and would be honored if you would consider supporting me with a donation or by sharing my GoFundMe.

I am also working on some special fundraising events, which I hope will include: bake sales, tea parties, and more after hours events at the cafe. I will update you all when I have more solid details, but for now thank you all so much for your love and support this past decade, and especially today.
