I had the most magnificent dream…

filled with a dashingly handsome groom, our precious family and the most beautiful flowers you’ve ever seen, all set in the magical English countryside. (Jane Austen eat your heart out! ❤️😍) It was such a special time and I can’t wait to share more of our amazing journey with you!

Is it too late to say Happy New Year??? Getting back in the old Instagram saddle over here. It’s been a really nice break! Here’s a pic of one of my favs from the season. I loved pulling together this bowl for …. Cabbage, peppers, Swiss chard, kale, rosemary, lavender, artichokes, pomegranates and mint made the most aromatic and festive addition to the kitchen of one of Houston’s most talented chefs!

Do florists like to get flowers? YES! YES! And YES! My heart is soaring after receiving these beauties pulled together by one of my very favorites . Simply glorious! Romantic, moody, fabulous. The picture does not do this incredible piece justice. Thank you PD. The last two years have been a beautiful and exciting adventure. I love you and cannot WAIT to marry you!!!

Don’t ya just love Fall? It is the season of college football .. well , all football 😆, the World Series (Go Stros!), Halloween, Thanksgiving and ALL of the gatherings that surround these things. I don’t know about you, but man, I am GRATEFUL for the opportunity to gather and participate with one another. It is such a joy and I love LOVE flowering up any and all of your special times.. so thank you ☺️❤️💐

It has been an absolute joy to flower up for their opening weeks! Friends… this space is special. So much attention to detail has been placed in the fabulous decor by and the incredible food by . If you haven’t made a reservation yet, get on the list!!! It’s worth the wait.

My precious girl Campbell is 18 today! This girl has walked through so many life changing intersections in the last 30 days. Graduating from Episcopal High School, deciding to begin her college life in the great city of London and then press on to Tulane in NOLA. Exhibiting great courage in taking her own nutrition by the horns and changing the trajectory of her health journey. I couldn’t be more proud. Her very being mimics the behavior of the great peony.. which like Cam is an absolute fan favorite! Her presence adds grace and depth to any thing life can throw. Campbell is comprised of so many beautiful layers… her petals are strong, her presentation is priceless and ever changing. She grows in beauty and strength each day and not to be weird, but she always smells so good! Happy birthday darlin! You are one in a million and being your mom is one of the greatest joys of my life! You inspire me. I love you. 🤗❤️💐🥳🥳🥳

This precious lady ... she is my dearest friend, biggest champion and floral sidekick extraordinaire... an absolute essential to KCD. She also happens to be my Mom! Many of my Houston peeps know her as Nina and she can often be seen delivering flowers, processing flowers, telling me where more flowers are needed, sweeping up or bringing nourishment to those that are. Her latest contribution, however, was painting an amazing backdrop so that the floral work we do popped just a bit more in photos. Swipe to see her handiwork! She did an excellent job. (Big hug to .fiori for giving her some pointers 🤗❤️💐)
A good backdrop reflects the light beautifully. It has depth and texture whether light or dark. Its purpose clearly obvious as the objects placed in front of it shine. Thank you Mom, for creating this canvas and for being a LIVING canvas that lifts up others humbly and lovingly so that all around you shine. I couldn’t love you more. Happy Mother’s Day! 💗💐💗💐💗💐
