We need to eat, we need to sleep and we need music… join us for a progressive bike ride / dance party today Saturday 10/19. Meet up at 5:00 at Pack Square Park. We’ll roll at 5:30ish with a mobile soundsystem and hit several spots around downtown and the RAD for beverages, some good fellowship and pop up dance parties. 5-9ish or whenever it wraps up. Bring a bike lock in the event we pop by a venue and a blinky light for safety and to add to the light show. and .with.a.y a will provide the tunes as we cruise our city.

So and endurance djing are are now a thing.. I spent the weekend djing for 30+hours, surfing e-foils, and partying with a most excellent crew of on a private cove in paradise. If ya got an idea for an epic party at an off the grid location in mind, we can make it happen.

We're doin' tha thang.. We're gonna mix it up and float from Bent Creek River Park and take out at Hominy, this Saturday 8.12.23. Meeting at 2, floating by 2:30. There's not much parking at BC River Park so set a shuttle and carpool to the put in if you can. It's a longish float, plan on 4+ hours of floating pleasure, so hydrate and bring a snack. Jut Rut, Fried Coffee, Jah Phil and Jody w/ a Y will bring the beats.

Sadly we’re going to hit pause and shoot for next weekend for the next River Rave instead. Sunday was the only day that most of the crew had available this weekend and the chance of thunderstorms on Sunday has been bouncing between 60%-75% for the last 24 hours. We’re going to hope for better weather and a little higher water levels next Saturday or Sunday. Get out there and do sometime rad this weekend and in the meantime enjoy an edit I made from a mountain surf session on Wednesday with

NYE dance party alert. It’s a little cold for raving on the river tomorrow eve so a few of the river crew are gonna bring the underground dance club vibes and a sick new sound system to Catawba Brewing Company - South Slope and ring in 2023 proper! Come down and shake yo ass with Jut Rut behind the decks from 8p - until they cut the sound off and special guest DJs Jody With A Y and Fried Coffee will be in the house to keep the vibes high and the music pumping all night long. Free entry, awesome beer, and dope beats 🍻🔊🪩💃🏼🕺.

What’s SUP y’all!! We’re bringing the beats and floating dance floor to the river this Saturday!! Beach party kicks off at 11:00 and we’ll be playing till 4 at French Broad River Outfitters for the first annual S.U.P. FEST at hominy creek. If we have sunshine and a favorable weather forecast will pull anchor and take the River Rave downstream at 4:20 and float to the take-out at Craven Street Bridge. Details on all the rad events for SUP FEST below.

Hala French Broad Outfitters and Hala Gear Hala Gear], are stoked to partner for a downriver SUP race and festival Saturday, August 27th.

We invite you to stay after the race for some good music and vibes provided by DJ Jut Rut, The Pond Brothers Trio, and Brushfire Stankgrass!

SUP Race (Bent Creek to Hominy) starts at 11am sharp, 14' max board rule. Please arrive by 9:30am for check-in, safety meeting, sup trailer loading, and late registration (Sat. 8am-9am $20). All racers and paddleboards will be shuttling from FBO Hominy Creek at 10am before the race.

After race awards party will be at the FBO Hominy at 1pm. Pond Brothers starting at 4pm and Brushfire Stankgrass at 7pm!
Prizes will be awarded to M/W race winners sponsored by Watershed , Astral , French Broad Outfitters , and Hala Hala Gear!

Join us for an informal surf session at Sandy Bottoms on FB9 Sunday the 28th (Stackhouse meetup at noon); for more race/surf information, stop by the Hala Gear demo booth Saturday.

SAFETY THIRD.. Sadly we're gonna cancel the River Rave tomorrow. I spent some time on the river this afternoon and strong storms south of Asheville have spiked river levels, the water looks like chocolate milk and tomorrow's weather forecast just keeps getting worse. Considering there's an 80% chance we'd be raving in a thunderstorm on a brown river tomorrow it's best we River Rave another day. We'll keep ya in the loop and hope to reschedule soon.

Let's float!!! Jut Rut and Jody With A Y are bringing ya the River Rave vibes and fresh summer beats to the French Broad this Saturday 7/30! We'll meet up at 3:00 at French Broad Outfitters Hominy Creek and float from the sandbar around 3:30ish. Given this time of year, a summer storm is always a possibility so plan accordingly. If the weather is awesome and the party is rockin we're planning to take out at the new Silver-Line park in Woodfin. If we float to Silver-Line Park it should be a 4-5 hour float with current river levels. If you are looking for a shorter float, the take-out across from New Belgium is a good option and we'll likely take out at this spot if we get hit by a few storms and/or the river is moving slower than I'm expecting. If you are not renting something to float on from French Broad River Outfitters, please park in the public parking area at Hominy, walk your gear into the private parking area, buy a beer from the fine folks at FBO and join us at the sandbar as we get ready to float on! The River Rave crew is back in Asheville after a solid couple of days of Raving in Detroit and we're ready to throw down some fresh new tracks and float the French Broad. Jut Rut just had a birthday and is heading west for a month so come say hi and join us to kick off River Rave Season 2022 proper tomorrow, June 5th! We're bringing a few giant SUPs and Jut Rut, Fried Coffee, Jody with a Y and Jah Phil will be bringing ya the beats all afternoon. We'll meet at FBO Hominy at 2:00 for some preparty and float from the sandbank at 3:00. You can take out at multiple places along the river so the length of the float is up to you but we are going to float to the new Silver Line Park (future home of the Woodfin Wave) where there is an easy take out and plenty of parking.
If you need to rent something to float on, French Broad River Outfitters is the way to go.
Please DO NOT PARK in the French Broad River Outfitters parking lot unless you have rented equipment from them.
No one needs to stress in their effort to have a good time so Get There Early, buy a beer from Frech Broad River Outfitters (no outside alcohol drinking before we leave) and give yourself some time to chill before we launch.
We’ll be at the sand bar kicking it and getting the music bumpin'.
The event is donation-based, so show the DJs and crew some love via Venmo for all the hard work that goes into making it happen
