Growing up, my grandfather took the time to share his passion for cooking with me. I have literally been cooking since I could see over the stove. From my birth in North Carolina to my upbringing in the D.C. Metropolitan area and my time in the U.S. Marines where I had the opportunity to travel all over the world and try different flavors and spices I share my grandfather's passion for food. W

ith every new region brings a different spice or way of cooking and I soaked up the knowledge like a sponge. My wife and I are both prior military and have traveled all over. That is what sets our food apart from all the rest, the variety. We think outside of the box when it comes to spices and how to put them together for an exquisite change in what you are used to. Not only that, but instead of having a cookie-cutter menu, we can work with you to figure out what works best for what you want and also what fits your budget. With the blessing from my wife to follow my dream and the shared passion for food, we want to give you the best event possible.

We recently hosted a Harry Potter/wizardry-themed event, and choosing Sweets by Emmy was the best decision! Their communication was better than I could have ever hoped for. The custom Golden Snitch cake pops were the absolute highlight—they truly knocked it out of the park! The price point was excellent, and the treats themselves were perfectly balanced and decadent. They had a wonderful, smooth mouthfeel and were perfectly moist—never oily or crumbly. The delicate vanilla flavor paired exquisitely with the candy shell and cake center.
