I find no matter what you can always learn new things. Covering this rodeo, I kept seeing a powder piled on horses bootys! 👀 Finally I asked someone and realized they put it there to be able to put it on their hands for roping right before they enter the box! Caught this cool shot after the rider patted the powder and then started adjusting the rope. ALL Sunday pictures are just finishing uploading now! link in stories!

By popular demand my english riding following NEEDED to see what GOAT tying looks like… look at this kido! They come flying in, hop off their horse, grab a tie(often they carry it in their teeth as they ride in), wrangle the goat and tie three of its legs (has to be above the dew claw or doesn’t count!) fastest time wins. To count the goat has to stay tied for I think 6 seconds. Did I get it all, my western friends? Comment below to add anything I missed! Haha!

Well well well. My last show of the season for was sure an epic one! 🍁 had us for the first time to cover their classic three day, and it was awesome! This year has been such an amazing show season getting to cover a few new huge shows, for example RRP. I am forever blown away by this team and the talent that surrounds us all. We inspire each other, strive to streamline editing/behind the scenes processes, and the time it takes to get photos online (which is literally insanely fast you guys!!!). Being a show photographer is much more physically grueling than most people know, but creating art and seeing those people cherish it makes it all worth it. Thinking back to when just a few of us would cover the entire Morven event, to this year covering three huge shows in three different states at the same time with this AMAZING team. So cool. Here’s to next year! 🥂
