Congratulations to Jackie, Adam, Addison, and Leah on a fantastic District 6 Band Concert and Festival the past two days. They performed with 160 other students from 40 schools in our local region. Adam, Leah, and Addison are advancing to the Region Band Festival hosted by Altoona and Bedford. Congratulations to all four students for a great musical representation by NBC band students!

While our students got a day of rest, Mr. Keith and Mr, Sarvey were still teaching,… except they were leading sessions on how music education can be embedded in all curricular areas. That music is a “stand alone” subject and a “stand with” subject! It was a fun day with our education colleagues!

'Little Shop of Horrors' Taking Flight

This year's musical is well underway with the cast list set, first practices under the belt, and Mushnik's Flower Shop scenery set!

It was a busy and exciting end to the week for our production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS!

Set pieces went vertical (this is just the beginning!) and we held our first meeting and read-though of the show!

The production will showcase a cast of 40 students from the Middle and High School, colorful scenic elements, and a live, professional orchestra of 11 musicians. Performance dates are March 20-22, 2025 (7pm).

The Northern Bedford County High School musical production of Little Shop of Horrors is underway! A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre-goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This attitude-laced, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!.

The production will showcase a cast of 40 students from the Middle and High School, colorful scenic elements, and a live, professional orchestra of 11 musicians. Performance dates are March 20-22, 2025 (7pm).
