Day 24: Private last dance!

This has become one of my favorite trends! A private last dance with the bride and groom! This is a time they can reflex on the day and take it all in… just them! I eventually make all the vendors leave once they get a couple of photos!

If you are considering doing one… do it! It will be a moment you will never forgot!

Day 22: Appreciation Post!!

These girls right here are my rock and how I’m able to do so many weddings and events year after year! I don’t do it alone and never want to try! They are my support and my sanity! They are such hard workers and I’m so thankful for them everyday! As we continue to grow, I appreciate their dedication and commitment! Can’t wait to see what 2024 brings!

Day 20: Wedding Favors!

Are they really necessary?
The short answer is no. You shouldn’t feel pressured to supply your guests with wedding favors. We understand that they/and the wedding can cost a lot of money so it’s perfectly understandable to forego this aspect of the wedding. That being said, we do like the tradition of offering your guests a small token of your appreciation for coming to celebrate!

Day 19: Welcome Party or Rehearsal Dinner?

What’s the difference?

The welcome party is a chance to literally welcome your guests to your wedding and give them a taste of what’s in store. It tends to be more informal, ranging from a cocktail reception at your favorite bar to a backyard barbecue. The rehearsal dinner is usually a smaller, more intimate gathering of the bridal party and close relatives, which makes sense since it typically follows a ceremony rehearsal. During dinner, friends and family gather to offer heartfelt toasts and share a delicious meal.

Hair and makeup kicks off your wedding day, so it’s VERY IMPORTANT to make sure you have someone that knows what they are doing and stays ON TIME! If not, it will throw off your entire day!

Day 15: Catering! Do you prefer a plated meal or buffet style?

90% of our couples start with “I want good food and music”! At weddings, the food is always a staple from appetizers to dessert, the food will be remembered! Make sure you request a tasting before your wedding day to make sure you personally love the food!

Day 13: Florals!!

Florals play an important role in your wedding design. They are the main decorations for most weddings and set the style of the wedding. I am a sucker for ranunculus, garden roses, dahlia’s, and peonies. I can go on and on how much I love real flowers 🌸

You can also use silk or wood flowers to create the look you want for your wedding day!

Day 11: Which do you prefer Band or DJ?!

The music sets the mood of the whole wedding! So choose wisely and be open minded. Remember the music you like may not necessarily be liked by your guests. It’s important to be open to all types of music and genres from Motown, Country, R&B, Jazz, to top 40 play list!

Pro tip: Let your band or DJ make the playlist and feel the room! It’s what they are best at and what you are paying them to do! They are the pros… Let them do their Job! You will not be disappointed if you choose wisely in the beginning!

Day 10: Select your perfect photographer and videographer!

Photos and video will be the ONLY two things you will have to look back on from your wedding day! It’s very important that you select the perfect style for you….From light and airy, dark and moody, editorial, modern, traditional and romantic! We work with many great photographers and I wish I could post them all! Let us help you determine which style and vibe you want for your wedding day!

Day 9: The Dress. The Accessories. The Tux!

Ladies - Have you found your perfect wedding dress? We recommend going dress shopping as soon as the ring is on your finger. That perfect dress may take some time to come in, some 6-8 months! You want to make sure you have time for alterations if needed! Don’t let time be the reason you can’t have your dream dress!

Gentlemen- What about your tuxedo? I know, guys like to procrastinate, but you want to make sure you are looking good for the big day! We recommend going to look for tuxedos at-least 3 to 4 months before the wedding to look at styles and color choices.

IT’S FRIYAY! Day 8: Room Blocks and Welcome Bags!

Having a destination wedding or have a lot of out-of-town guests? Make sure you reserve a room block at a hotel near your wedding venue to make it easy for your guests to navigate! Most hotels will also offer a discounted rate for your guest with the room block.

Since your guests will be traveling, it’s a nice gesture to create a welcome bag for them to have in their room with some snacks and drinks! Some also add in a welcome letter, things to do, restaurants recommendations, directions to the venue, and more!

Day 7: Save The Dates and Invitation Suites!

Some people may say the invitations are just paper, why should I spend extra money on something that my guests will just throw away?! Well, yes some guests may toss it BUT others will keep it 🤍 I love keeping all my wedding save the dates and invitations!

I personally feel the invitation sets the whole tone of the wedding! It’s should reflect your color palette, your style, and overall feel (formal, casual, etc) of the wedding!
