There has been an emergency at work and I have to leave for Vegas tomorrow, for the week. Unfortunately, I have to cancel our Rise and Dine Pop-up for this weekend.

Today, for lunch, the patients at the hospital ate the menu I put together.
One of the most intensive projects I've had to work on, I had to make sure all the nutritionals were correct for each diet.

Today, I helped the chef at Long Beach Memorial present two plates for tasting at the QBR. The "Aloha Meal", which will be offered to patients in the hospital and the "Celebration Meal," a lunch or dinner item offered to new moms, post delivery.
All in all, I had a great day!

Thursdays Cafe Takeover

I be so far in my head........I was asked to make a prep list......y'all don't even know how much of a struggle that was for me.
Do I use excel?
Am I giving this prep list to people?
Do they wanna see numbers???
WHAT DOES A PREP LIST LOOK LIKE?!?!?!?!
AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH.

So, I took a walk, got out of my head and made a prep list. One that works for me. Becuase once I leave this account, I am going to have to operate in ways that I feel comfortable in order to get things done.
Wooo chile, both the struggle, and the growth is real.

My cafe takeover is this week...here's the menu and the set up. This is the menu for doctors and nurses, the Senior Executive Chef chose the Paris theme, in honor of the Olympics.

We're going to do our best to turn the cafeteria into a "little French cafe"

Day 1 of training, the Senior Executive Chef dropped a bombshell: I’d be responsible for the Chef’s Table for the month of June...and I had never even heard of a ‘Chef’s Table’ before! 😅

For those wondering, the Chef’s Table is an action station (I would be preparing live) in our cafeteria dedicated to serving our amazing hospital staff. It’s open on Thursdays from 12-2pn on Thursdays, and the theme for June is LGBTQ Pride.

The first week, I served a colorful shrimp and rainbow veggie rice paper salad and sold 38 plates! 🎉

Yesterday was my last day at work at SafeLanding, and I was filled with mixed emotions. I've never worked at a job for this long, and it’s been an incredible experience. I’ve been fortunate to have great coworkers and amazing bosses who have made this journey so enjoyable. And we fed some AMAZING people daily! Throughout my time here, I’ve learned a lot, built and strengthened lasting friendships, learned the importance of setting boundaries, and grew significantly in my both my personal and professional development.

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be moving on to a Manager in Training program with a 12-week residency at LAC+USC Hospital. I will finish with the title and position of Executive Chef, and from there, I will most likely be placed as a traveling EC.
Thank you to everyone who made this chapter of my life so memorable. Here’s to new beginnings and continued growth!
Huge thanks to for pulling me into corporate cheffing... I've crossed over to the datk side....they have unlimited pto over here. Shoutout to for taking me under his wing and teaching me how to navigate in this new world.
