It’s wedding day for Paul & Lydia! I can’t believe the day is here already. It seems like just yesterday we were frolicking up at Mount Rainier, enjoying the gorgeous golden light of Autumn. Now we’re in the most remarkable garden venue for their ‘I do!”

Stay tuned for all the sneak peeks! 💫

Lana & John celebrated their first anniversary this weekend, and I spent the morning revisiting their wedding photos, tearing up all over again. These are the images that remind me why I adore every second of what I do!

It’s not just about the perfectly styled details (though those are beautiful). It’s the in-between moments, the ones overflowing with love, that truly stay with me.

The collective gasp as her bridesmaids see her in the dress for the first time

Mom’s hug that speaks volumes without saying a word

Dad’s quiet encouragement, whispered through teary eyes

Her Brother’s proud twirl, showing you off like you’re the star of the night

Friends letting loose, celebrating like it’s the best night of their lives

These are the memories I live for. The kind that makes me cry long after the music fades and the day is done 💚

With the 20th anniversary of the Pride & Prejudice (the only one that counts, sorry not sorry) film this year, I thought it would be fun to highlight some of my absolute favorite venues that give off those Mr-Darcy-Hand-Flex-Swoony vibes for like-minded brides both here in the US and abroad!

When Alicia’s wedding inquiry dropped into my inbox, my jaw hit the floor. In her email, she mentioned that she got engaged at Stourhead Estate, where Pride & Prejudice was filmed, and had their sights set on as their wedding venue.

As many of you know, I’m not so low-key obsessed with all things Ireland and P&P. Some would say it’s my entire personality, and I’m okay with that when it connects me with like-minded couples! To say that I was excited was an understatement.

Meeting them in person was the icing on an already perfect cake! We opted for their engagement session at Chateau Lill for a European-esque backdrop to complement their destination wedding story. The morning could not have been more beautiful either - the sun was shining brightly, the birds were singing softly, and flowers were abundant everywhere.

After meandering through the garden for an hour, we popped over to their house for an outfit change and to take photos with their kitty, Lumi. Did I mention that they are cat people? Honestly, this couple could not have been a better fit. Both Brad & Alicia are such a welcoming, warm couple, and I am so honored to tell their wedding story in Ireland this December! 🍀

The Met Gala is over, but images of Minted x Met’s wedding suite remain. On a whim, I took these on film (I usually shoot digital for the super quick turnaround, especially for this suite!) to finish a roll and rediscovered them just the other day. This suite, designed by .art, was inspired by an Indian tapestry dated back to the 18th century. I’m scheming to get back to NYC this autumn to see if I can view the original textile!

Met Museum lovers, what is your favorite must-see at the museum? I’m dying to know!

Bringing all the color to your feed today with this spectacular Indian-American wedding I photographed alongside my friend in Georgia an eon and a half ago. I recently had a consultation for an incredible Indian fete for later this summer and it made me realize that I’ve only ever shared snippets here and there of this day. Fixing that with an absolute explosion of oversharing with some of my favorite film & digital photos! 💚

Newest obsession: rehearsal dinner portraits at sunset. For their pre-wedding celebration, Kamri chose a gorgeous, silky white gown with pearl straps that draped beautifully in the back, giving her look a mermaid-esque vibe that was perfect for their oceanfront dinner. Erik was complimentary in a dapper sand-hued suit.

Future couples, you’ll want to save these stunning rehearsal dinner looks!

Photography is in my blood. My parents were always taking photos of us kids, and one Christmas, I scanned all of my family’s old 4x6 prints (nearly 5k photos!) as a gift to them all, then began on these slides from the 1960s that I inherited.
This is Aunt B. I never knew her, but she’s a Kindred Spirit for sure. Aunt B is sort of a mystery to us. We don’t know much about her life aside from the fact that she worked for the Department of Agriculture, was an avid traveler, and loved taking photos on her travels. I spent about a month or two going through her extensive slide collection and meticulously scanning each one with a little machine I bought.
Before, we would hold her slides up to the window to squint at the tiny images. It was hard to make out any of the photos she had taken until I scanned them.
It’s clear now where my eye for photography came from - it runs in my family. Aunt B had such an amazing talent for capturing the perfect shot, as evident in these photos and so many more that I want to share. Someday, I’m going to get the slides professionally scanned (hey !) so that I can blow a few of the images up for my home.

In the meantime, enjoy these frames from Spain, Venice, Greece, Hong Kong & so many more wonderous places that I hope to follow in her footsteps!
