One of our favorite places to visit is the Oregon Coast. I remember telling Kiel that if I ever moved from Washington, it would be the Coast. Something about it is so captivating, cinematic, peaceful, and serene. I’m in are everytime I set foot anywhere along the Oregon Coastline.

What inspires you?⁣
⁣
Better yet, what intimidates you enough to try something new? One of the biggest intimidations we face with photography and video is… light… With light, comes many barriers, battles, and triumphs.⁣
⁣
Have you ever seen an image and just thought, dang, that sunset looks absolutely immaculate? Or saw a wedding at a hotel and the flash was on point, creating nostalgic and filmic atmosphere?⁣
⁣
A fun way to play with light is using ambient light mixed with an artificial light. It creates amazing depth, but also brings out the subject from the background. There are so many works of artificial lighting that so many artists use to create such interesting and beautiful pieces of work. One of our favorite ways is incorporating lanterns (these are from Amazon) or direct flash! ⁣

In the time we had with K + J on their wedding day, we couldn’t but find ourselves having the best and most carefree time. Not only did their family welcome us with such open arms, but everyone in the wedding was so enamored with these two.
From the getting ready to the dancing in the dark by candlelight, they ended our wedding season with such an awesome closure for us.
As we trudge the trenches over the next month or two, we look back and forever are thankful for the clients we have that create beauty and love.
