When my friend walked across the room with a dried Staghorn Fern in his hands, I lifted its remnants to the light and this crown flashed into my mind.

June is my favorite month for many reasons. Mainly because all the roses are nearly in bloom but also because itā€™s a big month of growth for me personally. Iā€™ve made some major life and business decisions and Iā€™ll be completing another cycle around the sun! Sometimes making decisions is the most difficult part of moving forward, at least it is for me. Cheers to June, to love, to growth and cultivating beauty any way we are able šŸ„‚

Even though Iā€™ve dabbled in floral design for 13 odd years now, hand held bouquets have always been difficult for me to make. I cut the flowers from the garden and procrastinated a full day until I felt confident in making a go at it. I lost some poppies in the interim but I am smitten with it. I feel like it is me if I was a floral arrangement. I made it for hummingbirds, their electric spirits and sporadic movements.

Elements include: Voodoo fuchsia; Benjamin Britten, Gingersnap and Koko Loko roses; sweet peas; poppies; Rainbow loveliness dianthus and Encanto orange begonia. Oh and a single suntanned stem from Pieter B. aka Honey Dijon.šŸ’‹
