After an incredible journey dedicating my time to Brown Girls Do Ballet, publishing The Color of Dance, and launching the children’s book Brown Girls Do Ballet, I finally found a moment to reconnect with the love that started it all—photography.

My recent trip to Iceland reminded me why I picked up a camera in the first place. The raw beauty of this world, the stories it tells through light, and the way it moves me to capture it all. I’m falling back in love with photography on a personal level and can’t wait to share more of these private moments with you. 🖤📸✨

Looks like I might get to pass this little corner of the universe on soon. My 15-year-old has apparently been watching me. She shot these. My heart is full. 💖📸

I am incredibly proud to unveil the cover of my first children’s book, “Brown Girls Do Ballet” (available for presale now-link in bio)! 🎉 Featuring the incredibly cute DFW dancer Caliyah, whose passion knows no bounds. 🌟 But there’s something extra special about this cover – Caliyah proudly wears her cochlear implant, symbolizing the beauty of diversity and inclusion in the world of dance. 🩰💖

Representation matters, and seeing dancers of different abilities celebrated on book covers is a powerful step towards inclusivity.

Whether you’re raising a mini ballet enthusiast or simply love stories that celebrate diversity, this book is for you! 💃✨ Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to dive into a world where every dancer’s journey is celebrated.
