Do you need to plan a wedding in 4 months? If so, follow below!

Month 1: The Foundation

• Set Your Budget: Determine how much you’re willing to spend and allocate funds to various categories (venue, catering, dress, etc.).
• Book Your Venue: Choose your venue and secure your date. This is the most important first step!
• Hire Key Vendors: Book your photographer, videographer, caterer, florist, and DJ. Be sure to book vendors with availability that aligns with your timeline.
• Start Shopping for Your Dress: Begin searching for your wedding dress. Consider ordering off-the-rack or exploring stores with quick turnaround times.

Month 2: Finalizing Essentials

• Send Save-the-Dates/Invitations: Once the venue is secured, send out save-the-dates or wedding invitations, particularly if you’re having a destination wedding or need guests to plan early.
• Hire a Wedding Planner** If you haven’t already, consider hiring a wedding planner to help you stay organized and manage the details.
• Book Your Officiant: Choose a wedding officiant who aligns with your vision for the ceremony.
• Select Bridesmaids Dresses: If you have bridesmaids, finalize their dresses and send them measurements.
• Start Thinking About Your Menu: Meet with your caterer to decide on the food and beverage options. If you’re doing a sit-down meal or buffet, make decisions about the menu.

Month 3: Details, Details, Details

• Finalize Your Wedding Dress: If you haven’t already, finalize your dress and schedule fittings for alterations.
• Order Wedding Rings: Start shopping for wedding bands for you and your partner.
• Book Hair and Makeup Artists: Schedule hair and makeup trials, and book your stylists for the big day.
• Confirm Your Vendor Contracts: Double-check contracts with vendors, confirm dates, and review final details (such as arrival times, setup needs, and special requests).
• Plan Your Honeymoon: If you’re planning a honeymoon right after the wedding, now’s the time to book your travel and accommodations.
• Create Wedding Day Timeline: Begin creating a timeline for the day, including the ceremony, reception, and any other key moments.

Month 4: The Final Countdown

• Final Dress Fitting: Schedule a final fitting for your wedding dress, ensuring any last-minute adjustments are made.
• Send Final Invitations: If you haven’t already, send out the last round of invitations and follow up with guests who haven’t RSVP’d.
• Finalize Décor and Rentals: Confirm your decorations and any rental items like tables, chairs, linens, and lighting.
• Confirm Vendor Details: Contact each vendor to confirm timing, details, and any final changes.
• Prepare Your Wedding Day Emergency Kit: Pack essentials such as safety pins, a sewing kit, makeup for touch-ups, and pain relievers.
• Practice Vows: If you're writing your own vows, rehearse them and make sure you feel ready to speak from the heart.
• Relax and Enjoy the Final Weeks: Take some time to relax, meditate, and enjoy the final preparations. Keep your focus on the love and joy of your upcoming celebration.

The wedding budget!

Here’s What You Need to Consider

Weddings can be expensive, but with a little planning, you can have your dream day without breaking the bank! 💖 Here are key things to consider when planning your wedding budget:

1 Prioritize What Matters Most: Focus your budget on the aspects that are most important to you—whether it’s a beautiful venue, stunning photography, or a delicious catering experience.

2 Guest List: The more guests you invite, the more your costs will increase. Consider keeping your guest list intimate for a more affordable (and personal) experience.

3 DIY & Personal Touches: Get creative with DIY projects for decor, invitations, and even favors. Handmade touches can add a personal flair and save you money.

4 Venue Choices: Look for non-traditional venues that offer beauty at a lower cost, like a park, beach, or family backyard. Some venues allow you to bring your own food and drinks, saving you even more!Typical cost: $2,000–$10,000 (varies by location, season, and size).

5 Vendors to Consider & Their Costs:
◦ Photographer: Expect to spend $1,500–$4,000 for a skilled photographer. Shop around for packages that fit your needs.

◦ Catering: Depending on your guest count and menu choices, catering could range from $30 to $100+ per person. Buffet-style may cost less than plated meals.

◦ Florist: Flowers can cost anywhere from $800 to $3,000, depending on your preferences for bouquets, centerpieces, and floral installations.

◦ Entertainment (DJ or Band): DJs may charge between $600 and $2,500, while live bands can range from $2,000 to $6,000+ depending on the size and type of band.

◦ Hair and Makeup: Professional services for both could range from $100 to $300 per person.

◦ Wedding Planner: If you’re hiring a full-service planner, expect to pay $1,500–$8,000. Partial planning or day-of coordination will be less.

6 Season & Time of Year: Consider a weekday wedding or an off-season date. You may find amazing venues and vendors offering lower rates.

7 Shop Around for Vendors: Take your time researching and comparing prices for photographers, florists, and caterers. Don’t be afraid to negotiate for a better deal or ask about off-season discounts.

8 Focus on the Essentials: Wedding dresses, rings, and flowers are essential, but keep in mind that you don’t need everything on a wedding checklist to have a beautiful day.

Bonus Tip: While it’s important to stick to a budget, remember that hiring the right vendors can make a huge difference in your overall experience. If you need a great vendor or have a limited budget, I can help you find the best options within your price range!

HELP! I NEED TO FIND A VENUE!

Finding a wedding venue is challenging, especially if you don't know where to start looking. So many options, but guess what? You don't even know how much these venues are. Looking at a list of about 10 venues is overwhelming. Forget overwhelming, do you even want to call them? Do you know the questions to ask?? Do you know to ask if there was a fire, where is the emergency exit for your guest? ( Most forget this question) It's the questions you don't know to ask that will hurt your decision on finding the right venue!
Tips to help you:
1. Decide what your priorities are for your venue and then create a list of what is important to you
2. Budget how much you want to spend
3. How many guest will you plan on having
4. All inclusive, or not all inclusive. ( Do you even know what that means:)
5. If your budget is 2500 for a venue, stick to your budget.
