The incredible beauty and intimacy of a private residential wedding is so heartwarming.

And rewarding when you get to experience it all coming together. But have you thought through all the logistics!?

Here are some tips while planning to keep the evening running smooth:

1. Parking: Where will your guests & vendors park? Or will you be providing shuttle services? Can that shuttle or bus successfully drop off and pick up guests with ease of access or turn around.

2. Water and electricity access: Make sure you ask each vendor what they require. Extra extension cords are always a great help but don't forget to keep your guests' walking paths clear of cords.

3. Lighting: yes you have it under the tent, but what about walking areas to Restrooms or back to parking/shuttle. Most guest have cell lights but consider your terrain and that your guests likely won't be in walking shoes.

Sometimes, it's the simple things that make your celebration memorable!

G & J spiced up their entertainment by adding . He serenaded guests throughout dinner but once the dancefloor was open, guests had a blast jamming out with him. Not to mention throwing in some bubble wants for the kids and do a little impromptu limbo!

Ice cream is always a great dessert, but nothing better than a traditional ice cream truck pulling up to your reception with music on and lights flashing. Everyone got exactly what they were craving from delicious soft serve to SpongeBob pops.

Guests also enjoyed capturing moments throughout the night passing around a camcorder. Im sure G & J had a great time watching those playbacks!

Have you found your venue yet!?

Well, maybe you haven't narrowed your parameters enough and highlighted your priorities. This is something we review with all of our Full Planning clients.

First set your search parameters:
- distance/locations: where are you considering having your wedding. Within so many miles from an airport or home base? Is it a destination, or how far are you willing to travel?
- atmosphere: is there a vibe? beachfront, city, mountains
- style: are you open to Mansions, Summer camps, restaurants, farms, hotels
- budget: think overall more than just venue!
- availability & guest count

Then what are your priorities? (Just making up a few for example here)
- getting ready on-site
- scenic views
- big dance space
- on-site catering
- nearby church

Now, when you are reaching out to venues, be sure to express your priorities to see that the venue accommodates them. This can limit your communications and filter venues that may not be the right fit.

Why we love to provide Wedding Coordination services...

You have worked so hard to plan every detail about your day. We want to bring all that you envisioned to life, so that you can be present and focused on these moments. The moments that you and your loved ones will think back on and reminisce with you.

Coordination is about taking on the management of your day and that definition is expansive from staging the DIY items, communicating with vendors, helping the groomsman with their bow ties, giving a quick tutorial on how to cut the cake, doing your bussle, sewing in your Bridesmaid so she doesn't have a slip, to double checking your rental order, making room day of for a quick breather.

With the recent events of so many displaced from their homes, memories lost in physical keepsakes, it has me grateful for the digital age we live in.

Thankfully, those I know in the areas near the fires are safe, but not everyone was out of reach. A family was evacuated and still waits to hear about their home. It is hard to focus with so much to feel for so many.

But what I meant to share is that I will always be grateful for the audio and digital videos I have of my mother, Melody. Something that makes audio guest books extra special. To hear a friend or family members voice, even if they are not gone, but only far away is so heartwarming.

The most prestigious staircase in RI was consumed by this handmade gown from Egypt.

IYKYK how infamous the staircase at Rosecliff mansion is for wedding gowns. Being present for this moment is one career memory I will never forget. Every detailed bead was stitched in by hand!

Oh and if you keep scrolling dress #2 was the most romantic gown for our beautiful bride to dance the night away in!

As 2024 comes to an end, I am throwing it back to our first wedding of the season.

Rosecliff Mansion is one of my favorite historic venues. It truly is such a magical place. But made even more special by the vendors who bring unique experiences and beautiful details! For I & F, they brought in not one but two artists to elegantly capture the guests and grand ballroom. What a magical night!

This beautiful fall day in late September was a blessing for J & B.
No matter the weather though, they were down for whatever mother nature wanted to bring. A good mindset when planning your outdoor event in New England. We can prepare for any element (well minus a severe hurricane or tornado), but unless you are mentally willing to understand it may not be the perfect weather for your event, then maybe the outdoor option is not for you.

Things to consider when planning for the elements:
- covered plan B options, where will you execute any outdoor plans or place back up tents on hold.
- experience transitioning from locations, guests arriving, walking to and from locations.
- vendor access and needs.
- decor set up, does decor need to be secured if too windy.

Living for all the messy flat lays!

Something to consider adding to your shot list. A constructed flat lay including your favorite cocktail of the night, of course!

Also, something to remember! When constructing your bar, be sure to have the right glassware that you want for your drinks. I know this seems like an obvious detail, but depending on your service provider, sometimes not every style of glassware is included.

Our 2024 events have come to a close.....and we look forward to what 2025 has to bring!

Although the events may be done, there is much to do!
🔸️We continue out the year with planning for our 2025 couples and clients.
🔸️Business tasks and administrative duties are a heavy part of this "off-season" workload.
🔸️Continue to network and build industry relations.
🔸️Invest in workshops and team education to keep us improving services where we can.
🔸️Oh, I have a new business to establish and run!

With all that, this is also the time for me to create some one on one mom time with the boys and self care time.

Yvonne has so much passion in weddings and made everything seamless for us. Everything was perfectly done and professional. When planning your ceremony.....don't forgot to assign your first row seats!

Pro tips:

1. Invite family to sit opposite you so that they can see your face rather than your side profile or the back of your head.

2. Only have the number of chairs you need in the reserved row(s). This avoids empty seats and keeps your chair count down if renting.

3. Rent as many chairs as you need for guests seated but round up to have 6 extra. We want to avoid empty seats but some guests like to leave 1 seat open between them and others. This will ensure no one is left standing.

4. Have ushers or Coordinator instruct guests to fill from the first open row back. People tend to avoid the front, this will help to make sure there are no empty rows or pews if in a church setting.

5. Make sure to inform those who are in reserved seating! Silly tip right...well one often forgotten. If you don't have ushers or someone who knows your guests by face. Those guests may not get instructed to sit in the front if they are not made aware.

OK The Aldworth Manor is one of my new top favorite venues! Here's why:

1st Yes, it truly is as beautiful as the photos depict! And the views are even better, especially during this peek fall season. It is a photographers dream.

2nd Um it was originally a colonial house in Worcester! YUP! The house was dismantled and built up in Harrisville, NH. Where it serves as the foundation to the now Tuscan Villa style Manor. History of the estate is on their website.

3rd We love family owned and run business! Working with the Long family was so great. They all play a role in the property and management, and their hospitality is felt throughout your experience! The passion and love that they have for this property is displayed in every detailed inch of the property.

Can't wait to share more about C&C's amazing weekend!
