Spent the morning with the sweetest family braving this heat! It is so rewarding when you get to document families and watch them grow. This sweet little girl was a newborn last time I saw her and watching her sweet personality unfold during the session is one of my favorite parts of being a family photographer. And side note- This mama was rocking a baby bump in 90 degree weather, with a toddler, pretty sure she deserves a metal- and she looks absolutely flawless in all of her images!

Sunday fun day

If I could sum up this season of life in one word it would be busy. We recently listed our home, have been vacationing here and there all summer, have one kids on the competition team in gymnastics practicing 9 hours a week, and the other starting travel baseball while wrapping up football season. My job in the NICU has been busy, and life overall just feels like a whirl wind. I’ve been turning to my Bible more and more and leaning on Gods word for encouragement. Running a business on top of all of this has unfortunately taken a backseat. BUT I am here to say that I will be taking a limited number of sessions this late summer/fall. I am still around friends!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending with Adrianne from . The styled shoot was amazing and listening to Adrianne speak brought back a spark for photography that has been lacking lately. Any of my local (and non local) photography friends should look for her next workshop, I promise you will be inspired in so many new ways.

Sweet moments before baby number 2. Those last few weeks as a family of three were so precious to me. I remember wanting to spend all the time I could with my son and stretch out all those little moments that were so special.

Let’s talk family session. My main goals going into a session are to document the unique bond that your family shares. That means that during your session you won’t be in super posed positions and you won’t always be staring at the camera smiling. I love to have families interact with each other so that I can capture natural moments and reactions that show your story. That doesn’t mean I will just leave you to do your own thing, but I have found that guiding through prompts rather then posing is the way to go!

Some tiny toes for your Thursday morning. I haven’t done a newborn shoot in a while, and although I am surrounded by babies at my full time job in the NICU, I miss having these sweet little details behind my lens.

Opening the windows and going into full on spring cleaning today. When the weather warms up, I suddenly want to redo everything in my house and go full into nesting mode. My husband loves it 🙃.

Sweetest of the sunflowers, yeah, you're the sun to me”. Adrianne will be having flower farm mini sessions this summer and I can’t recommend them enough. Such a beautiful setting and she always captures the most natural interactions to tell your families story! 📸:

Home sweet home. Anyone else constantly dreaming up new plans for their house? I always have a new idea or inspiration for different rooms and my family can attest that furniture never stays in the same place long.
