Would like to get us into the Auburn Cornfest… I called Midland County Fairgrounds, who gave me Auburn Improvement Management. That website doesn’t have a proper phone number listed and I tried Auburn chamber of commerce and the number is no longer in service. Anyone know who I can talk to about this?
Please don’t share these posts. They are bait and switch and part of a scam.

A little piece of my heart:
About 17 months ago, right after I turned 60, I took a long, hard look at my life. I didn’t like where I was. I didn’t feel like I had “accomplished’ anything. I was wasting time—and how much of that did I have left? Another 20 good years if I was lucky? Maybe more, maybe less. I made a decision that I wanted to make what I had left count—REALLY count.
I started reading my Bible regularly. I got involved in church again. I started taking GOD seriously—trusting him for everything in my life. I gave up what was holding me back—and found something oh-so-beautiful in its place.
There was a moment early in my journey when I was sitting in church thinking about what area of ministry to get into. I asked God and he said, “for now, just wait. Rest. Grow. Learn. Love.” So I listened. That’s what I did. And I trusted that he would lead, never once looking back.
A few months later, on Baptism Sunday, an announcement was made that we would have a new pastor on staff, and this pastor would be in charge of community outreach. I started bawling. I immediately knew that’s where God wanted me. It’s so humbling that even at 60 years old, he still had a plan for my life.
Fast forward one year and I was one of those baptized this year. I’m not only deeply involved in several Bible studies and a ministry at church, but God led me to start an outreach supplying school supplies for kids in our area.
I’m not saying this to brag on myself in ANY way. It’s ALL God. I spent 60 years doing it my way and in 17 months God did more than I ever could in a lifetime.
My ministry is not a perfect fit. It isn’t meant to be. It’s meant to grow me in ways that I never thought I could. For example, I’ve never been one to pray out loud in front of people and now I have hugged a stranger and prayed for them in the middle of the mall. I prayed out loud in front of my church people. I’ve prayed for a man who quietly whispered “I don’t pray” in the middle of the Shell station. I’ve shared Jesus with more people this year than I have my whole life.
Over my lifetime I’ve been involved in ministering in different areas, but I’ve never felt like I found the key that fits the lock of my heart—until now.
This is not weakness—it’s strength. If you know—you know.
Huge thank you to Steven Altenburg for a very generous donation to our tip jar! All tips are being donated by the employees to a fund for school supplies for local children. Donations will be matched, up to $500, by Red Barn Fries. Thank you to all who have tipped!!
My apologies to all. They ARE charging for parking today. I was mis-informed. Abby Terwillegar

The SEVENTH person to ask ME (Jenn) what year I graduated receives an order of fries at the price they were that year. This offer only valid when Jenn is in the barn.
It’s Midland County Fair week which means Red Barn Fries and cider slush!
What’s your favorite fair food?
Good morning! We made it! With God’s grace, my husband Glen’s amazing vision, my amazing brother Doug’s supervisory skills and the help of three very unlikely suspects (Dan, Dan, and Rich—who we called Dan just to make it easier!) we are at the fair! They all listened to God’s call and very honestly there is no way we would be here without them. My brother is a great guy and I already know that. But to have three strangers and my brother jump in without even being asked specifically, and then talk me OUT of chucking the whole thing and skipping the fair this year—AND finishing my extensive punch list in record time!—well, it has been a very humbling and growing experience for me. I was at a point where I was sure my usefulness was just about used up—I am getting old, after all—and God used this situation to “learn me a few things” and show me his true, deep, and undying love for me.
That being said, we are not certain what time we will open. I am just getting around and frankly still have stuff to do to get ready. But my prayer today, as it is many days, is “order my steps Lord, to bring glory to your name.” When all is said and done, that’s what is important, right?
SEE YOU AT THE FAIR!!
Hot delicious fries are up! At an undisclosed location near you.
Grandpa got these tee shirts for these little guys to wear to the Red Barn!! Couldn’t ask for better advertising! (I’m sorry I didn’t get this posted two days ago. )
We were running out of potatoes so these kind men carried some in on their shoulders from the parking lot since it was too busy to drive in!!
Just a boy and his fries…
Or you can just drive to the fair and have some fries and a lemonade for way cheaper.
