“What do I do with my hands?”

Yes, it’s a funny question right? Like we all if a sudden are aware of our hands and how without a purpose they somehow make us feel awkward 🤚🏼

Don’t worry…. I offer up tons of direction, guidance and bad jokes to keep you smiling and comfortable. The best and most common compliment I get comes from the partner that didn’t want to take photos in the first place.. “this wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be”. :)

I’ve been thinking of fun ways to survive the summer heat. I love summer but these past few summers have been next level 🔥. So my ideas are… walking inside stores to get my steps in. Home Depot, Target and yes, even the Mall. Gotta get those steps in and I don’t care for treadmills much. Other ideas include taking laps around Barton Springs then jumping in every go round to cool off. And lastly, getting out of dodge and heading north on a road trip. How do you plan to tackle summer time? 🕶️🌞

I wish my kids were still as little as they were when I thought they were big kids. Hug them tight, hold them, cuddle them in bed while they still let you. I miss these days. ❤️🌻

Cloudy days are my favorite days to photograph bluebonnets. Most of the bluebonnets grow in full sun so unless we have some shade nearby the sun can sometimes be too harsh during certain times of the day. I always cross my fingers for overcast days when shooting wildflowers. So don’t be scared of the clouds… ⛅️

I shot my last “big” wedding on Saturday. My focus is now completely on small intimate weddings, elopements and courthouse weddings. After doing this full time for 17 years now I have a new love for these more simple weddings that focus solely on the couple and less on all the other fluff. Don’t get me wrong… I think big wedding events are beautiful and have their place of celebration of two people and their loved ones coming together. I have loved documenting hundreds of weddings over the years and looking forward to continuing to do so within the more intimate wedding space. 🥰⛪️
