I am so proud of this image. I noticed this in live time and it instantly struck me as profound. The story it tells (at least to me) is incredibly powerful. A man that has grown up in the shadow of his father, who happens to be a living legend, yet has managed to cast a shadow of his own through his art. The divergence in passion from music to film, but with the same soul and drive that was alive in his father from a young age, further heightened by the deepness where the two shadows meet.

Perhaps it is only profound to me and a bit too esoteric, but sometimes that is the beauty in creating art. Enjoying our own creations even if we are the only ones.

I’m fighting lame male senior portraits one graduate at a time! My first (and just about only) goal with male seniors is to produce images that show off their masculinity and grit. Images that evoke “my little boy” from moms, but only because it is preceded by “what happened to…” 😅 I would say tonight was a success!!!
