GUEST LIST // How many people do you invite to an elopement wedding? Well, our rule of thumb is that 30 or under is the magic number. This is where your group is small enough to not be overwhelming for you to host and small enough that you can do what you want to do with your day without the traditional expectations.

When you have a larger group, especially if they are traveling to your destination, they are going to expect more of a traditional wedding; things to keep them entertained, a program, multiple meet ups, time for dancing etc. This is fine, but it costs more money to do a traditional wedding, so when you have a smaller guest count you also have more flexibility to do what you want to do on your day and make things work for you instead of just your guests.

We are there to make the planning easy, to give the best advice, coordinate all aspects of your day, keep your budget on track, make sure you are making the right decisions for you and of course most importantly be with you on your wedding day to orchestrate everything, but also to do what needs to be done - from managing the rings to wrangling the littlest flower girls. All this to say... you need your own Concierge because this is not anything you want to have to manage on your own when you are trying to enjoy your day.

ELOPEMENT PHOTOS / Wondering how you are going to get everything done on your elopement day? From amazing photo shoots at multiple locations to a meaningful ceremony and then to a beautiful intimate dinner celebration?

Well, you might not have to! If you really want an extensive photo shoot, consider doing a day after photo shoot. That way you don't have to worry about losing any part of your special day and can take your time going to the best locations at the right timing to get all those shots you want to have.

ELOPEMENT STYLE / Having an intimate wedding means that you can go as traditional or non-traditional with your wedding attire as you want. If you want to wear the white dress and the suit - great! Or if you decide you would like to go far more casual and play with colors, you can do that to.

PRIVATE LOCATION / One thing we don't think you should skimp on for your intimate wedding day? A private location.

There are public places you can hold your wedding ceremony in most states and generally these are the least expensive places to host your ceremony, but there are things you should keep in mind if you are choosing one of these public places.

1: You can't control your surroundings - public means that everyone else gets to enjoy this space as well and they get to do that on their own terms, whether you are hosting your ceremony at that time or not.

2: Keep in mind that usually these beautiful locations are popular, which means that you will have other people around during your ceremony and may even have another wedding taking place at the same time as well.

3. There are often times rules about what you can set up regarding chairs and decorations as well as sound systems and music.

We prefer to have our couples choose private locations where we can control the environment during their ceremony, do the set up we want to do and play the music we want to play. What are your thoughts? Are you choosing a private location or a public location for your day?

ELOPEMENT BOUQUET / Flowers can seem like the most fun part of planning your day, but they can also provide some of the biggest sticker shock because flowers are not cheap.

Flowers are a perishable product and the window for receiving them, processing them and arranging them is tight which means that their cost reflects that. It also takes some skill to put together a gorgeous wedding bouquet that is going to last for hours and quite a bit of flowers to actually make sure it looks good enough to stand out in your photos.

So, keep that in mind when getting the pricing for flowers and while they may not be as inexpensive as you want them to be, what other day do you get to design and have your own personal bouquet??

/ Should you consider having a destination elopement wedding? So many couples find that a destination wedding is the perfect fit for their day - so is it a good fit for you?

One of our favorite reasons to have a destination elopement is that it is a great way to cut down the guest count, without leaving people feeling left out. It makes a lot more sense to have a smaller guest count if you are traveling for your day and people understand if you want to do that with a smaller group or even no guests.
