\\ This gorgeous view is what is behind the guests at one of our signature locations on Kauai island. One of the things we love about our private wedding locations is that they don't just look good from one angle - they are beautiful all around!

Are you sure your wedding location looks good from 360 degrees? 🤔

When you are looking at a wedding location online you may be captivated by the photos, but you don't know exactly what it looks like in person. And many locations only have what we call the 180 view, which means that when you arrive you see things that don't really help with your wedding vibe (like buildings, crowds, busy walkways, roads, etc) can actually affect your ceremony and certainly don't help with getting photos since you have to avoid a lot of angles. We are very picky with our locations and don't use many wedding hot spots for this reason. \\ Did you know all of our elopement ceremonies come with live music? That is because there is no substitute for live music! Not only does it create such a special atmosphere for your ceremony, but it means we get to incorporate your favorite music into your day.

It also make all the difference when you are entering your ceremony, whether you are doing things traditionally or not and sets the tone for your guests too if you have them. It also allows for beautiful transitions into your entrance and provides the perfect crescendo for your kiss and exit down the aisle together.

There is just something so special about having a live musician playing for your ceremony, it just somehow completes the moment. Oh and with our ceremonies, you get a choice as to what instrument you want playing too.

This couple wanted to make sure their VIP was the only guest on their day and we have to admit there is not a cuter guest we have ever seen.

Our favorite part about eloping is that there are no rules and you get to make the day about you and your love, which means that you get to do what you want with no judgement and chances are a lot of support from our team who is here to make that dream a reality!

\\ Have you heard of doing private vows on your wedding day? This is when you and your fiance say your vows to each other privately before the ceremony without any guests. Usually these our vows that the couple does not repeat during their ceremony and they do the standard wedding vows for their ceremony.

This is also combined with 'first look' photos so that you can capture this with your photographer - who is standing a bit of a distance away to give you privacy. Couples who choose to do this usually are a bit shy and don't want to say their vows in front of friends and family and prefer to keep them private.

We are a fan of this practice and think it is a beautiful way for couples who prefer to be more private to share their intimate promises to each other at the start of their day when they first get to see each other.

There are many reasons couples choose to do an additional day photo shoot and it is a great way to alleviate the stress of trying to get all of your photos and your ceremony into your day. Whether you are dreaming of more than one location, just don’t seem to have enough time on your day, want to capture a magical backdrop on a different island or want to jump in the ocean and you know your dress won’t survive - there are so many great reasons to book an additional photo shoot around your wedding day. One of our favorite ideas is to give your family and friends welcome bags when they arrive. We like to stock them with our favorite local Hawaiian products we know will enhance their stay and they are bound to use. We also take care of shopping, assembling and even delivering the welcome bags so you just look like the hero ;)
