I happened to have a weekend free and was able to spend a day in Glacier a couple weeks back. Put on about 10 miles of hiking and got to see some amazing sites.
While I was hiking I sat myself down to prepare some lunch when near the top of the mountain on my first hike when I heard some rocks tumble below me. At first I thought it was another hiker on their way to the top of the mountain, but alas it was a mountain goat.
This mountain goat came right up to me, about 15 feet away, and looked right at me. He then proceeded to go by and soon he was followed by a whole crew of mountain goats. These goats were calling to each other, eating greenery that grew in between the rocks and put on quite the show for me.
I was lucky enough to have my camera with me, so I pulled it out and took nearly 1500 photos of these amazing mountaineers. They make rock climbing look so easy, that's for sure.
Anyway, long story short, it was a great trip into the park and I hope to have another opportunity soon.
Please enjoy these photos I took on this trip!
