Got to photograph the sweetest maternity session on the beach and whew—it took me right back to the quiet, dreamy days of waiting. No snacks to pack, no tiny hands pulling at your dress… just wind, waves, and belly kicks!

It’s such a different kind of magic when there aren’t kiddos running around yet—slower, softer, and full of that wide-eyed anticipation. Still tender. Still so full of love. Just a little quieter.

Give me all the seasons of motherhood—this one was such a treat to capture!

Okay wait—before I dive back into this wild season of sessions, I have to share the very last session from my … because WOW.

This session was a super last-minute add-on but I decided I wanted to squeeze in one more shoot so every attendee could have a little more to walk home with—and wow, I’m so glad we did! It was insanely windy, borderline freezing, and yet this sweet fam completely rolled with it! The little ones actually handled the cold better than we did!

It was chaotic, magical, and everything I love about storytelling and the perfect note to end the retreat on!

And guess what? I’m already planning the next retreat!

Sometimes, you just have to trust..

A few days before this sunrise session at the , I checked on the wisteria downtown—nothing. Not a bloom in sight. Planning this retreat around peak wisteria season was already a gamble with our weirdly cold winter, and I had fully accepted that we might miss it!

But then… the morning of our session? Magic. The wisteria had popped, giving us the dreamiest backdrop for this sweet family of five! Two big brothers doting on their little sister, giggles in the morning light, and the softest moments between them. And as if that wasn’t enough— made an appearance, making this session even more of a dream!

The best moments aren’t always the ones we can control… they’re the ones we lean into and let unfold

The wind was WILD. The cold was BRUTAL. But the love? The love was WARM.

At last week’s , we photographed this sweet family of four before they become five this summer! The wind whipped through, hair flew everywhere, and we all lost feeling in our fingers—but honestly? That’s what made the magic!

Because perfect isn’t what makes a moment beautiful. It’s the chaos, the movement, the way they pulled each other in tighter, giggled through the shivers, and just felt it all!

This is what family is. Messy, loud, unpredictable… and absolutely breathtaking!

You know that saying, “everything happens for a reason”? Well, this session was the perfect proof of that!

For the next session, I originally had FIVE different families lined up… and one by one, life happened. Sickness, work, the great unknown—until I was left scrambling the day before to find a new family! Enter this sweet family, who showed up with zero expectations and all the trust—and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better!

This is what magic looks like when parents let go of perfection and let their kids be exactly who they are—wild, free, and completely themselves! And somehow, even when everything seemed to go wrong… it turned out so, so right!

This milk bath maternity session was pure magic—soft, dreamy, and made even sweeter by the most excited big sister! Watching her cuddle up to mama, soaking in these last moments before baby arrives, was the kind of thing that makes my photographer heart melt

Is there anything dreamier than a maternity session under majestic oak trees draped in Spanish moss? I mean, come on—this feels like we walked straight into a Nicholas Sparks movie, minus the heartbreak and all the happy feels instead! The way the sunlight filters through those branches, the romance of the setting, and the joy of capturing this beautiful chapter? Pure magic. If I could bottle up this vibe, I totally would. And I think I found my new favorite location!!
