I wanted to come up with a cute caption, but honestly? Who has time for that right now. I’m deep in busy season mode and about to head to Raleigh for my last round of fall minis there before wrapping them up in CHS this next week! I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. So here’s a photo of me to prove I still exist!

Proof of life… we made it to November!

October really tried to do me dirty with the weather reschedules, but somehow I still squeezed in 79 family sessions between minis, fulls, and thirty-minute sessions… plus four newborns!

November’s still a little wild, but thankfully not October-level chaos. I’m so thankful for this season of life and this business that I love, and also for the fact that my kids are in school all day because truly, that’s the only way I can make all this happen!

Photographers..if you still have little ones at home, please don’t compare your workload to mine! We all have different capacities and thresholds, and mine just happens to include a weird amount of energy!

Here’s to wrapping up the year strong and maybe, just maybe, getting to breathe again in January!

Wanna hear something exciting?! Last night’s shoot was pure magic, AND I filmed the whole thing for one of my upcoming behind the scenes videos that will be raw and uncut so you can see how I guide my families for an entire session..meltdowns, magic and alllll! I seriously cannot wait to share it with you! I’m working on capturing a ton of variety with different locations, family sizes, ages, all the things, so you can see exactly how I navigate every session and situation. It’s gonna be so good! Who is excited?!

Weekend one of Raleigh minis is officially in the books and my heart is so full! Raleigh will forever hold such a special place in my story. I grew my business here for nine years, photographed over 200 weddings, and built the sweetest connections that have truly shaped my career!

This past weekend, five of my families were past wedding couples of mine and I can’t even explain what an honor it is to keep photographing their milestones. To be trusted with documenting love stories as they grow into families is something I will never take lightly.

To all of you who keep coming back year after year, session after session..thank you. I am so, so grateful for you and the way you’ve supported me through every season of this business. Raleigh, you’ll always feel like home!

Last night was one of those sessions where everything went “wrong”.. the wind was wild, sand spurs everywhere, and there were plenty of tears. But even in the chaos, magic still happened…

Because when you stop chasing perfect and just lean into the moment, that’s where the beauty lives! The real smiles, the wind blown hair, the in-between moments… that’s what tells your family’s story!

It’s not about everything going perfectly. It’s about everything real showing up!

Hard to believe that not even two weeks ago we were 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑒𝑒𝑧𝑖𝑛𝑔 at the beach for what was supposed to be a warm sunrise maternity session… and now I’m stepping outside to take my kids to school and it’s basically 𝑎 𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑑𝑒𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑠. Like, 𝑒𝑤. So hot. So humid. Charleston weather, make up your mind!

But honestly, even with the cold toes and shivers, this session was 𝑝𝑢𝑟𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 from start to finish. The kind that makes you smile while you’re shooting and again while you’re editing. And I can’t think of a 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑦 to officially wrap up this year’s . And perfectly styled by:

Sometimes the most perfectly imperfect moments come with a little surprise… like a random rain shower on the way to the beach when the forecast said 0% chance! But since this retreat is all about embracing the messy magic, we rolled with it, got a little wet, and still created some beautiful memories with this fun-loving family of six! And as if to reward us for going with the flow, the sun popped out just in time to give us the dreamiest golden glow at the end!

Slowing things down with the dreamiest maternity milk bath session at the ! Our first mama’s baby decided it was time to make an early debut, the sweetest reason ever to miss a session, and in true motherhood magic another beautiful mama stepped right in!

There is something extra tender about a mama in the bath, quiet and calm, soaking in those last moments before her world changes in the best way. A little chaos, a lot of love, and the most perfectly imperfect timing!

There’s just something about Spanish moss sessions that feels straight out of a Nicholas Sparks movie...except thankfully no tragic endings, no dramatic rainstorms, and no Ryan Gosling yelling “What do you want?!” at me. Just a sweet family, a happy ending, and the dreamiest backdrop for our next session! I wanted natural, organic, and fun and they nailed it! Plus, I styled them from my client closet and honestly...l’m a little obsessed!
