I'm sure there are lots of photographers in this world who can take photos as well as me, or at least edit in a similar way. But making beautiful photos of your day should only be half the experience. You need someone you are excited to spend the day with, someone fun. I pride myself on making photo-taking not just bearable, but one of the most memorable moments of your day. I will tell jokes that

make your fiance snort-laugh, help your mom take deep breaths, get your grumpy grandma to smile and make sure Aunt Susan doesn't look as drunk as she was. Visit my website to see my work and my full pricing! Can't wait to chat :).

A whole lot of serendipity took place when Rachel hired a carpenter, Tim, and made him a home cooked meal while he was working on a deck project for her.

The sparks flew and never stopped flying, so after building a beautiful life together with many more sweet moments along the way (including raising mini donkeys and alpacas on their adorable farmstead together) they decided to elope to Colorado and I had the pleasure of having them in front of my camera for their special day!

P.S. If I go missing it’s because I ran away to their farm and am cuddling with the alpacas 🦙

If a ‘little bit of rain’ is good luck, then a torrential downpour has got to be some next level luck and Lauren & Lane completely earned it after their elopement last week. These two, along with their guests, ventured from much warmer states (Texas and Louisiana) but still embraced the cold and rainy weather with so much laughter and endless amounts of joy. They were just happy to be getting married in such a beautiful place! Here is a little look at some of my favorite moments during their elopement experience!

Jacqui and Mat live in Australia, but had an epic US & Europe vacation scheduled this summer and during their Colorado leg of the trip they decided it would be the perfect place to elope! Jacqui’s best friend from university and her partner live here and were able to witness their beautiful mountainside ceremony, share some celebratory champagne and explore the town with them afterward! It was the perfect sweet and simple experience they were after! Here are a few favorite photos from their elopement!

✋🏻 If you don’t swipe to the last photo in this post you’re missing out 😏

It was so wonderful meeting Zach and seeing Liz (my childhood nextdoor neighbor from 20 years ago 🤯) for their engagement session last week! It really is amazing how social media can keep people connected from so many different parts of our lives ❤️

The sunrise was showing off, so we encouraged Zach to show off too by convincing him to do acro-yoga.. for the first time.. on a picnic table in the woods 😂. The fact that he said yes and they made it look this awesome will never not make me laugh. And I’ll just let the rest of these magical photos speak for themselves because holy wow it was a good one!

Every time Mountain Crust has catered a wedding I’m photographing we have *the best time* and I’ve been dying to shoot at their new venue since they first announced it was opening so I was immediately excited when Paige and Pierson reached out to me about their wedding day! The excitement just escalated from there after getting to know these two, learning that they’d be including the cutest dog of honor ever, Archie, in their wedding day and having the most fun reception ever - with beer b**g, a caricature artist and (of course) the Mountain Crust pizza food truck!

I’m so glad my (dog obsessed) team and I got to document Archie’s humans on their best day ever with both photography and videography and can’t wait to share allllll the good stuff, but for now here is a little preview of photos from the day!

👋🏻 Just over here slacking on sharing stuff on social media because June has been a busy one, but I’m excited to finally share a little peek at the photos from Beth and Tim’s wedding day!

The epic sunset is just a little extra proof of how magical their day was, but this one was extra special to me because I’ve known Beth and her family for almost two decades and had a front row seat to watching her love story with Tim unfold. It was such a privilege to photograph their wedding. ❤️

The struggle was so real narrowing down which of Sam and Shira’s wedding preview images to share on this corner of the internet because every single moment, human and detail of their day was just too good 🥹. Here are just a “few” of my favorites that show off these two and their perfect wedding day in Estes Park last weekend!

There are so many fun stories to share about these two, so stay tuned for a blog post in the future. For now, I’ll share the adorable story of their first date!

“Sam, ever the romantic, walked up to Shira at the planned meeting spot, got down on one knee, pulled out a ring pop, and stared up at Shira with a big cheesy grin, asking her to go on a first date - we’ll see about marriage! We laughed about it and moved onto the reception - Sam brought a thermos of hot toddies and rainbow insulated mugs for us to enjoy on our walk through the park. We walked around for 2.5 hours talking about our lives, pop culture, holiday plans, and more, and by the end it was clear we were both interested enough in a second date, so as we said our goodbyes, Sam made one more big play (in the context of November 2020 because COVID) and asked Shira if she could give her a kiss. and we did! Date 2 was in the books for next weekend, and we both walked away with grins on our faces.”

Memorial Day weekend is when the busy wedding season begins and I can’t think of a better way to start things off than with Chris and Bridget’s beautiful wedding day at The Manor House!

I had an incredible team of 4 there and we got to document every heartfelt moment of their day in both photo and video form! The weather was perfect, their first look was full of happy tears, their handwritten vows were so touching, the toasts were some of the sweetest I’ve heard (including a surprise birthday cake and all of their guests singing happy birthday to the groom’s mom!), the dance floor was full of energy all night long and most importantly of all, Bridget’s dress had ✨pockets ✨!

When I asked Effin and Terry what they were looking forward to most on their elopement day they said “Holding hands with my intended before, during and after our marriage; as we held hands from the first date and will hold hands every day for the rest of our lives!” So, the happy tears have been flowing over these two since before I even met them in person!

They didn’t have an official proposal, so instead they shared the sweetest words about their journey of falling in love:

“From Effin: I honestly do not know when I first fell in love with Terry, but I do remember the first time I thought “Oh hell, yes – this is magical.” We were moving in together and tackling the assembly of an IKEA bathroom cabinet together. We approached the assembly identically: read the instructions, count out the parts to make sure they were all there, read the instructions again, and then move step by step through the instructions. It was flawlessly built on the first try – and we loved that we built it together. It set the foundation of how we would build our life together. Step by step, planning together, constant communications, adjusting when something did not seem right, laughing and taking breaks throughout the process – and a lovely end product!

From Terry: I honestly kept looking for those “red flags” – when you find out the ugly truth about the person you are dating. That’s what I had encountered in my past dating life. But after two years, and then three years, and then six – there are no red flags. Effin is exactly the person she was the first time we met.”

When Sprague Lake got hit with 51” of snow less than 72 hours before Rick and Eyerei’s elopement and the couple got surprised with the bride’s 87 year old mother flying in from Korea for their nuptials we knew it was time to pivot to a backup plan that didn’t involve being up to our knees in fresh powder for the ceremony!

I started calling around to all of my favorite venues near RMNP and The Landing at Estes Park absolutely saved the day when they answered the phone (and on a Saturday, blessss) and were available to host the ceremony at their beautiful venue on Monday!

Rick and Eyerei drove to Estes on Sunday to check out the space in person, fell in love with it and we officially pivoted to this dreamy backup plan for their elopement the next day!

Their church pastor officiated a beautiful ceremony by the riverside, and their friend serenaded them by singing and playing a song on his baritone ukulele while they took communion. Then, we all headed over to Latitude 105 and they celebrated with their guests for the rest of the night!

Here are a few of my favorite photo moments from the day! Can’t wait to share their elopement video, and the sweet ukulele tune soon too!

Liana and Elliot ventured to Colorado from California, for the first time, and decided that it would be the perfect place to take engagement photos! The weather was crazy that weekend with rain, hail, thunderstorms and even snow - but we got the very best of it for their sunrise session in Boulder!

Liana and Elliot met in college, where fate had them cross paths in a writing class. Liana caught Elliot’s attention from the moment he walked in and he went from considering switching classes to choosing to sit next to her, which is when their story began to unfold.

Their classroom crush turned into fun dates and now they’ve built a beautiful life together, exploring nature with their dog Archie, binging Netflix shows, and going on adventures around the world together!

I’m thrilled their travels brought them to Colorado, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to capture their love in photos!

Lauren and Bobby’s elopement at Sprague Lake on Thursday was such a heartwarming and love filled experience. Before walking down the trail aisle together, they shared a private first look while their family waited at their ceremony spot. Meeting their families at the dock for the ceremony felt like a beautiful reunion and the tears were flowing during the entire ceremony. My face muscles literally hurt from smiling so hard behind my camera! Even though there were still some snowy patches along the trail it was a sunny gorgeous evening. And as the best surprise ever, we spotted a wedding moose on our way out of the park (Bobby immediately named it Bullwinkle) which made an already incredible day that much more magical!

P.S. Lauren’s mom handmade her gorgeous wedding sleeves and veil and her dad handmade her headband, she looked absolutely radiant and the added personal touch was *the best*

Dannielle and Johnathan’s elopement in Colorado’s Garden of the Gods was the perfect definition of opposites attracting in all of the best ways. 🥰

Dannielle’s outgoing and bubbly nature perfectly complemented Johnathan’s gentle and protective demeanor. Their elopement experience was also the perfect mix of playful antics, like swapping shoes on a mountainside and brushing pampas grass off each other’s clothes, alongside deeply emotional moments during their tear-filled vow exchange. Colorado’s unpredictable weather followed the same theme, with a sunny elopement day swiftly followed by a massive snowstorm, burying their wedding spot in over TWO FEET 🤯 of snow just a day later.

Despite the breathtaking backdrop, Dannielle and Johnathan’s genuine beauty, inside and out, was what made their elopement experience truly memorable. Working with such a lovely couple made my job easy and rewarding, and I’m grateful to have been a part of their special day. 🥹

Brooke and Eli’s home state of Florida is known as the sunshine state, but after their gorgeous sunrise elopement in Boulder last week it’s safe to say Colorado swooped in and snatched that title right up! 🏆☀️

🥹 Being behind the camera means that I get to easily throw my hair in a braid, down some espresso and jet up the mountain, but I’m always so appreciative and impressed by couples that choose to wake up dark and early to get wedding-ready so they can get married during the quieter hours when the world is still waking. It’s always worth it and such a dreamy and peaceful experience!

Hannah and Toby crossed Colorado off of their travel bucket list and got married on 303 day (March 3rd!) in Rocky Mountain National Park!

Mother Nature threw all 4 seasons at them during their visit, with sunny rock climbing in Boulder followed by a snow globe elopement experience at Sprague Lake! The wind was intense, but they embraced the cold temps and we practically had the national park all to ourselves (which RARELY happens at sunset!)

It was so fun meeting, exploring with and celebrating these two for this adventure!

Sam and Shira knew they wanted an activity based engagement session, so last week I took them my favorite quirky book and record store followed by an arcade and it was an absolute blast! The cozy vibes of the store perfectly complemented their affectionate moments (and added some new records to their vinyl collection), while the arcade brought out their competitive sides and contagious laughter. Colorado decided to play the part of Antarctica this past week, prompting us to make a strategic move. We swapped the initially predicted -17º temperature in Estes Park for a slightly warmer (albeit still single-digit) elopement at a private estate in Longmont for Emi and Jason’s special day on Friday!

Their families bundled up and gathered to celebrate their marraige. Undeterred by the chilly weather, everyone came together as Emi and Jason officially became husband and wife! We explored a new trailhead near the private estate for their portraits, followed by a picturesque wrap-up at Chautauqua. Then they swapped into comfier clothes and headed an intimate dinner celebration shared with their families!

They fully embraced the unexpected change of location and turned it into a unique chapter in their love story, yet another affirmation of their enduring love, resilience, and ability to adapt!

Katie and Brett’s December elopement in Estes Park was sweet and simple, but filled with so many heartwarming and genuine moments.

They first met each other at a martial arts dojo, where Brett noticed Katie’s silent strength (only because she was voiceless from being sick - so thankfully by their second date she was able to chat away!) Their love story unfolded with humor and their connection felt effortless from the moment they met. Eventually, Brett proposed during Katie’s black belt test, only to be playfully thrown to the ground in celebration.

Katie has always kept a journal, and before she walked up for the processional during their ceremony she surprised everyone with a recording of herself reading her journal entries from when she and Brett very first met. Everyone was in tears and it was one of the most meaningful ways to start an elopement ceremony that I have ever witnessed. She even wrote her elopement vows in the same journal!

After their families, including their three 70-pound dogs—Koga, Loki, and Lucifer—witnessed their beautiful ceremony and stamped and signed their marriage license we spent the rest of our time exploring the hiking trail, laughing our butt’s off and taking gorgeous just married portraits!

Kala and Blake’s intimate wedding was a small and close-knit celebration with their families and friends, who felt like family too!

What stood out most were the personal touches that made the day uniquely theirs. Their wedding took place in the bride’s sister’s home and the bride's nieces, with their artistic talents, crafted the cutest handmade details to decorate their day. Even though it was one of the coldest days in November, Kala and Blake took a quick bike ride together after their ceremony. This held special significance since they first connected during a bike ride on Memorial Day weekend in 2019!

The wedding marked the first meeting of their families, and the day flowed seamlessly from getting ready to a heartfelt ceremony. The big extended happy hour that followed was filled with genuine moments, including touching toasts from those who love Kala and Blake dearly. It was evident that their relationship was cherished not just by the couple but by an entire community that had been woven together through shared adventures and genuine connections.

As their photographer, I felt privileged to document the unique and genuine moments that made Kala and Blake's wedding day a beautiful reflection of their love story

In early November, under bluebird sunny skies, with snow-capped mountains as their backdrop, and with their families as witnesses, Erika and Brad became husband and wife!

🏔️ Choosing 3M Curve in RMNP for their elopement location was a no-brainer for these two because it perfectly reflected their shared passion for adventure and their desire to avoid the spotlight, focusing more on an intimate celebration.

It all began when they took a spontaneous vacation to Colorado early in their relationship. Every morning, armed with peanut butter sandwiches, they hit the trails, connecting with each other and nature. Colorado became more than just a destination; it symbolized their love, and the idea of standing on a mountainside and exchanging vows was the natural and perfect choice for their elopement experience!

It was an honor to witness and photograph the magic of of it all 🥹

Jordan and Sean eloped to Colorado on October 31st, which also happens to be the anniversary of the first time they met each other! Their dog, Brandy, was so excited that she was jumping for joy (literally) during their ceremony!

They chose to exchange their vows outside of the park so they could include their pup in their day and have her sign their marriage license too, then we made a quick stop at their VRBO to drop her off and ventured into RMNP for their cake cutting, first dance and some portraits around (and on!) Sprague Lake!

It was the perfect end to an incredible October!

The weather in Colorado is known for its unpredictability, and Caro and Peter’s wedding day was no exception. We experienced all four seasons, from sunny skies to rain, hail, and a massive snowstorm at the end of the night!

After getting ready with their closest friends, they shared a sweet first look. Then, we were joined by their nearest and dearest, including their adorable dog, Lego, to capture as many photo moments as possible before the weather got too wild!

During their ceremony, you could literally see the snow making its way down the mountains behind them. However, this amazing couple, along with their guests, embraced the weather. All of their guests snuggled together under umbrellas while Caro and Peter exchanged their vows and became husband and wife, creating a memory as unique as the weather around them!

The reception decor was a travel-inspired dream, nodding to all the cool places they've explored together. Their choreographed first dance was so impressive it left everyone in awe and kicked off a night full of epic dance moves with their entire crew!

Caroline and Peter, as a team, complement each other in countless ways, from the spontaneous adventures they dream up together to the small, everyday gestures that make their partnership so special. Photographing their wedding day was a wild ride and an absolute privilege!
