I had to add a video to my YouTube channel tonight for my website and was scrolling and reminiscing and came upon this video from 2019. It is only five minutes long so it is great to watch on a coffee break. All ages will enjoy this one!

LARGO, FL - The Barrington Senior Living created a lip sync music video for a company-wide contest through Tarantino Properties. "It's called Dancing Through the Decades, " says Katie Korinsky, the talented Healthy Lifestyle Director who created the video concept. "Our amazing community residents are showcased through eight decades of music beginning with 102-year-old Joe dancing to "In the Mood" in our hallway lined with American flags."
Vocal4Media.com, the promotions and marketing division of the Clearwater-based event production company, EventsByKathySings4u, launched their local boutique marketing agency with this unique project. "One of our mutual goals with Katie was to highlight the beautiful facility by shooting scenes in different locations throughout the building. From "The Macarena" by the pool that featured fur babies like one-year-old Lady, to the hip-hop song, "Teach Me How To Dougie," filmed in the dining room that highlighted the dance moves of 90-plus-year-old Naomi," remarked company owner Kathy McGuire."We even had some of the directors dancing to "Thriller" in full zombie make-up!"
Part of the contest is to have the most Facebook views on the video. Katie and her staff and all of the residents at The Barrington in Largo are asking you for your help to share this amazing video! "Our residents and staff worked so hard on this video and we hope to brighten everyone’s day with it," says Ms. Korinsky." We also challenge other Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Retirement communities to make one as well and tag us in them!"
So, share this video with your friends, co-workers, family members. And especially with Grandma and Grandpa who might just be inspired to kick up their heels like Fred and Ginger, or even do the moonwalk like Michael Jackson.

So for about a year now, some high school buddies and I have been planning and plotting for our 40th Reunion Weekend! I do the nerd and graphic kinda stuff and had to use my OnStar Satellite WiFi to make this in my car on Friday night in a semi-empty parking lot on Curlew. Hey, in my world, The Show Must Go On.

Okay. I have done all that I can do today. So has Jay. We are heading to bed and getting up early to finish up.

We decided to stay and hunker down. Not in a flood zone. On the hospital electrical grid. And we got ways to stay cool and have power after Milton does his job.

Hopefully, he fails. But, I know that's just the Pollyanna is me hoping for the best. As a Producer, I think we will be okay. I planned and executed and just gotta let it go by 2 pm tomorrow. I'll be on my laptop and phone, plugged in and talking and working until the power goes out.

We even will have our safe space in our walk-in closet in the bedroom. I told Jay his shoes were being moved out so I could put more important things in there. He didn't get irritated. Which if you know how much Jay loves his shoes, well, that was really weird. I'll post pics of how many he has tomorrow.

I guess that's just what happens when you live with a sharp-dressed man. You just accept the fact that he will ALWAYS have more shoes than you do . . . hope Miltie doesn't decide to take them for himself!

What do you do in moments like this?
You DO what NEEDS to be DONE.
Each of us has to take care of our own FIRST, so we'll be okay to take care of those who may need us.
We CANNOT control what is going to happen in life . . . especially in a hurricane. But, we CAN prepare, get our own house in order, and be steadfast in our FAITH.

At least this is what I keep repeating to myself each and every time that I start to freak out or spiral down . . . Remember, FAITH over FEAR.

Last night I had the opportunity to perform during the Meet & Greet after this show at New Tampa Performing Arts Center - where I had the pleasure of chatting with and taking a selfie with Tampa Bay's fav meteorologist. Denis Phillips.

Celebrate the POWER of the Arts Featuring RIGHT BEFORE I GO is a creative, inspiring, and insightful look in to mental health and su***de awareness. We need to do so much more! "Su***de" is NOT a dirty word. At one time, it was taboo to talk about alcoholism or drug addiction. Until we accept the reality that sometimes even the seemingly happiest of people may be battling some dark demons, this issue will remain to be a crisis.

I will not be silent and I am happy to share my personal journey with PTSD with anyone. If you, or someone you know needs help dial #211 or #688 and Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is there to help 24/7.
