Hey y'all... I am still cooking up tasty-great times!!!

Not all of you are Vegan, but if you are, tempted to try or know others that are... come to OB Peoples 100% Vegan Deli (upstairs).

I'm the Kitchen Manager and for the last several months I've been leading the team and learning amazing new recipes to nearly 30-year old recipes.

The one I'm most excited about is their nearly 30-year old Holiday Seitan recipe. It is like no other, a 4 to 5 day recipe that's totally from-scratch!

All week, we will have our entire Thanksgiving Vegan Menu downstairs in Grab-n-Go and in our Hot Case upstairs. Go to www.OBPeoplesFood.coop to see the menu.

Today is a hand-washing dishes day and I diverted 10 gallons of washing + rinsing water to my Wisteria sprout.

My newest interest - Mezcal - is truly awesome.
Just like wine, the flora, fuana, prossing and who is making it greatly impact the end results.
Currenly favoring 100% Salmiana agave mezcals and the Derrumbes brand is IT for me.
At suggestions from others, I like it neat with side of smoked salt to dust my tongue after a sip.

I've been cooking organic, from-scratch foods with no-food-waste since I started Yapos Home Catering in early 2009.

Since March, I have been working full-time with Jimbo's Naturally in the Carmel Valley location kitchen. They have the same ethos as I have, and also reason I have not posted since. I am in position for bigger things with Jimbo's as they are expanding with 2 new store locations (Mission Valley + Poway) in the next 12-18 months, and they are starting a corporate Environmental Sustainability department.

Thank you for your support. It has meant the world to me, and I appreciate each and every client, student and staff I have worked with these last 15 years. We still have events booked through September, so YHC is not yet done.

The future is bright!
