I have been putting this off for a while now, but as we are approaching the New Year, it's time to announce a big change coming to the farm this year.

After six beautiful years of growing fresh-cut flowers and connecting with our wonderful community, we are peacefully announcing that we are taking a long rest from growing flowers for sale at Aurora Rose Flower Farm. This has been an incredible journey, and we are beyond grateful for the love and support we've received from all of you—our loyal subscription holders, beautiful brides, and the lovely farmers market friends we've made.

Although I am sad that we are taking a break from growing, I feel more at peace than ever. Mom and I have talked so much about this decision and the more we talk the more we know it is the right time to take a break. This past year was challenging and we've never wanted the farm to become a burden or something we resented.

Life is always changing. When I started growing the flowers I was single and childless, praying for the day that things would be different. That day is definitely here! We welcomed our third child a couple weeks ago, Lily, and we've decided now is the time to step away from the farm to focus on our growing family.

In this new chapter, I’ve decided to fully embrace the role of stay-at-home mom and dedicate my time to being present for my children during these precious years. I also have to take into consideration everyone's health. Mom is still healing from the car accident she was in last year and even though Adie is doing well, the reality of her autoimmune disease is that her symptoms can flare up at any time and I need to be available for that.

While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the farm and the flowers that have brought so much joy to our lives, we are deeply thankful for the opportunity to have been a part of so many weddings, celebrations, and special moments over the years. The memories and connections we’ve made will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Thank you for supporting us, trusting us with your floral needs, and for allowing us to be part of your lives. It’s been an honor, and we will forever treasure the experiences we’ve shared with you all and hopefully when the kids are a little bigger we can pick up where we left off.

Join us at the Port Austin Farmers Market tomorrow from 8am-1pm 🐝

It’s a holiday weekend so there will be a ton of vendors and the weather looks great!

Mom will also be there in her own booth with her plasma cut metal artwork!

Enjoying some sunnies in my *almost* wedding shoes 🌻 When Max and I got married I knew I wanted shoes I could wear all day and not have my feet hurt. When I saw these beauties on Etsy it was a done deal. I not only was I super comfortable in them for our wedding but loved wearing them day to day. Fast forward a few months, when I sold my first house and we moved up north, I lost my wedding shoes in the move, along with all my other summer shoes (I think they were accidentally sent to goodwill) You know how when you willingly donate something then later you’re looking for that item because you want to wear it now, yea it was that feeling x100. I have thought of these shoes for the last 4 years pretty consistently 😅 It took me a while but I finally was able to find them again in my size and I ordered another pair for myself this summer 🌻 Part of me felt silly because they aren’t my *actual* wedding shoes so why do I need another pair, I have plenty of other shoes. But they bring me so much joy and I reminisce that wonderful day every time I see them 🌻 So moral of the story, just buy the damn shoes 😂

Tucked in and ready for market tomorrow 💞 we’ll be at the Port Austin Farmers Market from 8am to 1pm tomorrow. We have tons of flowers and newly designed embroidered hats 💐

Wednesday’s market went so well that we will be back tomorrow at the Port Austin farmers market. We’ll be there from 8am to 1pm along with dozens of other amazing vendors! Come support Michigan grown produce and Michigan made products from some really creative people.

I think the strawberries worked amazingly well in this bridal bouquet 🍓💐🍓 I also loooove that everything in this bouquet was grown locally! Thanks to our friends Ankley Family Farm for supplying some blooms to make this brides dream bouquet come to life!
