There was a wonderfully happy, smiley, good-feeling, and community-warm glow at the Havertown Library's Grand Opening on Thursday morning.... A few hundred attended and toured the place, many with jaw-dropping approval of the building's structure, layout, and modern tech....

Saturday night, May 3rd, was a night of fast, funny, and totally unscripted comedy with The Delco Improv Company—a team of top-notch improvisers from ComedySportz Philadelphia who live in and breathe Delaware County! An almost full house of folks were rocking with laughter in the Kelly Center.

Using the audience's stories, they created side-splitting scenes that celebrated everything we love (and love to laugh about) in Delco. It was a night of unpredictable fun, Delco-style!

Cast: Steve Roney, Micheline McManus, Noah Herman, Kathleen Montrey, Tom McManus, Kevin Regan, and Don Montrey.

Back on April 19th the crowd at the Kelly Center was delighted by the sumptuous sounds of Laura Anglade and Ben Rosenblum....
Laura Anglade is a French/American singer. She was reminiscent of many of the great traditional vocal stylists of the 20th century, but her voice is uniquely her own. As she digs emotionally and eloquently into a lyric, her story-telling abilities portray a soul beyond her years. Folks at the Kelly Center were delighted.

Ben Rosenblum is an Award-winning New York City jazz pianist and accordionist.

---->>Saturday night April 12th featured Funk's Way at the Kelly Center.... The almost full house was dancing, clapping, and fully enjoying the talented group.
Funk's Way is an 8-piece funk/ska/punk/rock band based out of Delaware County with a special focus on horns. Their sound consisted of energetic covers of popular music--including Ariana Grande, Chicago, and Rage Against The Machine--as well as some original music. Instrumentation includes saxophones, trombones, keyboard, electric guitar, drums, and vocals.
They have played in Penn's Landing, South Philly, Collegeville, Spring City, King of Prussia, Phoenixville, Media, and more.
A portion of all proceeds from this event counted towards Kelly Music for Life’s Delco Gives fundraising totals. Delco Gives (May 8 – 9) is a day of giving hosted by The Foundation for Delaware County to support nonprofit organizations serving Delaware County. Donations received between April 1 and May 9 will be counted towards our Delco Gives total, so your support of this event is helping us reach our Delco Gives fundraising goals!

Saturday night, March 15, the Kelly Center presented a toe-tapping musical night featuring The Miners and Ken Martin.

The Miners are an original alt country band based in Philadelphia, PA (yes, there are alt country bands in Philly). The Miners are: Keith Marlowe (lead vocals, electric and acoustic guitar), Gregg Hiestand (bass), Vaughn Shinkus (drums, vocals), and Brian Herder (pedal steel guitar) who leads a rotating cast of local pedal steel, lap steel and electric guitar players.
Originally formed in 2007, The Miners are known for their country-infused, guitar and pedal steel guitar laden, Alt Country originals influenced by the likes of Uncle Tupelo, Whiskeytown, Gram Parsons, and Merle Haggard. The Miners live shows are always an event and, beginning in 2015, they staged an annual sold out benefit at World Cafe Live (upstairs) in Philadelphia to raise money for breast cancer charities. The Miners play the Philadelphia area’s top venues including World Cafe Live (downstairs and upstairs), Milkboy Philly, 118 North, Bourbon & Branch and others. The Miners have also graced the stages of festivals including the Jenkintown Arts & Music Festival, the Philadelphia Country Music Festival and the Awbury Arboretum Harvest Festival.

Ken Martin Philly musician and singer/songwriter Ken Martin brings his own unique twist to Country music with his originality, clever lyricism, and wide ranging vocals. Though he does enjoy venturing into other genres like Pop music or sometimes doing covers of Big Band Jazz classics, Ken's original Country music takes center stage in terms of live performances and musical releases.
Found on a variety of streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and Bandcamp, some of Ken's most popular original songs include, If I'm Not In Love WithYou, Hard to Please, Be More Considerate, and typically a crowd favorite, Nobody Likes New Jersey.

Imagine Lennon LIVE, the renowned tribute show featuring the music of John Lennon and the Beatles hosted a benefit concert for the victims of the California wildfires Saturday, February 8, at the Kelly Center in Havertown, PA

According to Scott Arch of Lennon LIVE, “We are absolutely heartbroken over the devastation & loss that Los Angeles residents are experiencing, with no real end in sight. We feel we must do something to help. 100% of Lennon LIVE’s ticket proceeds from the Saturday, February 8TH show at the Kelly Center will be DONATED to Los Angeles Wildfire Relief. Please come out & join us for an evening of John Lennon’s iconic music and to HELP those who have lost so much. The donation to Fire Relief at The Salvation Army USA will be paid by Beatlemania Now, Inc. on behalf of Lennon LIVE.”

It was a SOLD OUT crowd Saturday night, January 18th, at the Kelly Center bopping with Tommy Conwell and his Solo Acoustic Show. The folks there were mesmerized and immensely enjoying the sounds.

Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers broke onto the Philadelphia music scene in 1984 debuting at JC Dobbs at 3rd and South. Conwell, born in East Falls and raised in Bala Cynwyd, quickly rose to the top of the Philly rock 'n' roll food chain by providing long, sweaty, bluesy, and often transcendent shows that audiences ate up as something different from what they were being offered elsewhere. Tommy discovered the joy of playing solo in the 2000's and has been doing just that playing his own music and whatever else he wants including but not limited to jazz, oldies, Irish, classic rock, rat pack, folk, and punk ever since.
Designed as a facility to further develop the arts in the community, the Kelly Center offers exciting programming – from Blues to Celtic music, Comedy and Variety shows, Open Mic nights and more, there is something that everyone can enjoy.
Located next to Katz Pharmacy, 4-6 E. Eagle Road Havertown, Kelly Music for Life opened the Kelly Center, a brand new, state-of-the-art performance venue in Haverford Township. The Kelly Center is a safe and comfortable place for teens to enjoy a variety of after-school programming in an alcohol and drug-free setting, and caters to the community at large with a diverse calendar of cultural events that are 21+, including comedy, music, art and more.

It wouldn't be New Year's Eve without Ben Arnold, a multifaceted songwriter, musician, performer, and producer helping to rock things up at the Kelly Center.
Ben has been a vibrant and enduring presence in the Philadelphia music scene for over 25 years. His extensive touring across the United States and Europe has not only showcased his musical prowess but has also solidified his reputation as a dedicated artist.
Ben Arnold is reintroducing himself. A songwriter, musician, performer and producer, he remains longtime fixture on the Philadelphia musical landscape. He has toured regularly throughout the country as well as Europe for the better part of the last 25 years.
With a crusty, curmudgeonly, but loving take on the world around, Ben Arnold treated the full house Kelly Center crowd to a banging night to complete 2024....

On Saturday afternoon, December 21st, the Holiday Playin Time Holiday Special with appearances by Santa and the Grinch came to the Kelly Center - and played to a packed house!
Miss Virginia and Mr. Anthony led families through a holiday music adventure with PlayIn Time winter songs like 'New Year's Rex", as well as holiday favorites like Jingle Bells! As always, they were joined by a menagerie of pals including 'Captain Sharp' our musical pirate, 'Tysyn Purrrdue' the excitable chicken and 'Tyrannosaurus Rest'! Virginia Jennings and Anthony Azzolina are resident music teachers with PlayIn Time Productions at The Kelly Center where they guide children ages 0-5 and their chosen grownups in learning music fundamentals while dancing, shaking eggs, keeping the beat and socializing. They have been bringing a unique blend of humor and musical harmony to children and their families for 8 years.

The Kelly Center, now 5 years in the making, was shaking and rollicking with laughter on Saturday night, the 14th of December..... It was a comedy night, and well known comic stars Derek Lee and Jackie the JokeMan, kept the audience in stitches.....
Jackie had a big hand in creating the Long Island comedy club scene in the late 70’s. He still works all around the country performing his solo act of rapid-fire jokes and his classic finale. He has appeared in many films & TV shows, and frequently guests on many of the top national radio shows and podcasts. His autobiography, “The Joke Man: Bow To Stern,” was released October 2017 & for a daily joke at 4:20pm you can follow him on Twitter, .

The roof almost came off the Kelly Center on Saturday night with the packed house enthusiasm..... It was an "All Class Reunion." The group Basic Cable captured the vibe of a decade in music.
BASIC CABLE brought to the Kelly Center the Golden Age of MTV. With a mix of New Wave, synthpop, rock, hair metal, and dance-pop, Basic Cable those in attendance back to when MTV brought you the music and the look. The four-piece powerhouse with male and female lead vocals recreatesd the music from all everyone's favorite music videos from the 80s and brought a fun-filled and immersive experience to the audience.
