With Breast Cancer Awareness Month right around the corner, check out some pictures from our most recent successful raffle!

Did you know that 1/8 woman will develop breast cancer in their lifetime?

On September 16, we celebrated a very brave woman by the name of Renee Smith. In 2017, Renee was diagnosed with a form of Breast Cancer called Stage 2B, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. During the months that followed the diagnosis Renee underwent extensive chemotherapy/radiation in addition to surgical procedures. Renee faced every day like the true warrior that she is all while caring for her family AND her patients at Davita Dialysis Clinic. She never looked back when fighting her cancer battle side by side with advanced Rheumatoid Arthritis. Seemingly having beaten this monster known as cancer. Unfortunately, we have to fast forward to 2021, when Renee was struck with another devastating diagnosis. The cancer had returned in the form of Metastatic Breast Cancer with right lung and lymph node involvement.

Renee is still fighting her very challenging battle with cancer with her loving family by her side. The funds from our recent event will absorb some of the expenses incurred as well as possibly exploring other treatment options. 716 Meat Raffles is honored to have been able to help such an admirable cause.

During this years Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please find ways to support the millions of strong woman fighting this terrifying battle every day.

Find yourself saying "WTF is a meat raffle??"

Well, you've come to the right place!

A meat raffle is a fundraiser gathering for a specific non-profit organization. The price of admission for a raffle typically ranges from $2.00-$6.00 which will often include beer and some snacks. It's also common for attendees to bring their own food! Once you've grabbed a glass of an ice cold Blue Light or whatever the keg contains... its time to rock and roll!

To win meat, you need to purchase a ticket from a ticket seller, or “runner”. Once you buy your ticket, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and wait for the wheel to spin! (or maybe grab another beer)

If the wheel stops on your number... you win and its time to celebrate! (and grab another drink) You lost? That's okay, there are plenty of more rounds to go!
