Our renowned fireworks show on beautiful Lake Burton, nestled in the North Georgia Mountains, has taken on a life of its own over the years. Stories have spread far and wide of the unique boat-accessible fireworks show in celebration of our great nation's Independence Day. We couldn't be more proud of what our generous contributors on the lake have made into one of the largest fireworks shows in the state of Georgia. The fireworks echo throughout the surrounding mountains as viewers honk boat horns and whistle to celebrate all our nation has accomplished and continues to stand for.

🚩 Answers to what went wrong with the July 4, 2026 fireworks show:

Recognizing that something was way off this year, Clifton and I worked with our show producer Pyrotecnico to see why the show seemed disjointed and the grand finale was clearly not grand.

The short version is that Pyrotecnico mistakenly sent last year’s 2025 firing sequence file, to shoot off the 2026 show, and the lead tech on the island missed it and ignored multiple error messages because all the shells were loaded correctly. As you may have noticed, some mini finale’s seemed to go off during the body of the show leaving us with little to no Grand Finale.

The show was shot out of order.

We have agreed on a discount for the egregious error that left us all wondering, “Is that it?”

And we’re offering refunds to any of our generous donors who were let down. Just email us and we’ll take care of you.

📌A few words after Boat Church, earlier this morning. We're grateful for the kindness everyone's showing us, but we intend to do a better job ensuring the shows in the future live up to the expectations of our generous donors and this beautiful lake in this beautiful country.

Recurring donors! You have FAQ's... we now have answers posted on the website. tl;dr go to lakeburtonfireworks.com/donor-dashboard to manage your donation.

There's also a link in the footer of the website that says Donor Login, which will open the donor dashboard.

From the donor dashboard, you have options:

1. You can check and see if you've donated, or have an upcoming recurring donation scheduled.

2. You can change your payment info.

3. You can increase your annual donation amount to meet or exceed the suggested donation per family for this calendar year.

4. You can cancel your recurring donation.

5. You can review your donation history.

And if there's something you would like to do but can't figure out how, you can always email us by tapping on the button that says Email Us, in the footer of the website.
