Have you "Winterized" your home to save money on utilities?

Here's what you can do to cut back that big ol' heating bill!

1- ADD INSULATION to your unfinished attic space. Heat rises and if your home is built with 2 x 4's rather than 2 x 6's, your walls and ceilings might not have as much insulation as they could. Look into adding more.

2- REPLACE YOUR WINDOWS with energy efficient windows that are specifically built for our weather zone. Advanced coatings on the most efficient windows reflect heat in the Summer and use gases and multiple layers of glass to keep your furnace heat in!

3-IF WINDOWS AREN'T IN YOUR BUDGET, check the caulk and seals on all of your windows and doors to make sure you don't have gaps where air is leaking in/out.

5-CHECK YOUR CHIMNEY - A good exterminator or chimney sweep can inspect the flu/ cap and chimney for cracks, leaks and critters who can affect the draft and heat to escape.

6- DON'T FORGET FUNACE FILTERS - If the air can't flow properly through your HVAC system because of dirty, clogged filters, you may be burning extra fuel and wasting money!

Anytime I need to answer a question, I turn to our trusty INTERNET becasue of course, THE INTERNET KNOWS ALL!

So when I was asked today, "Is underwear an appropriate Christmas gift", you know what I did? I Oogled my Google!

Here's the answer.

Yes, underwear can be an appropriate Christmas gift, especially for close family members or significant others, as it's a practical item that everyone needs and might not always buy for themselves, particularly if you choose a nice quality or fun style; however, some people might consider it a somewhat "generic" gift depending on the relationship and the recipient's personality

BUT some people say, don't give underwear to your relatives, friends, anybody at all as a gift. Underwear often needs to be very precise. I guess it DEPENDS. If they need those, I'd steer clear!
