SBYU Teams take off in 2025!

Two weekends into 2025, Santa Barbara Youth Ultimate (SBYU) has already competed in two tournaments. Starting with “Beach of Dreams,” a 4 vs. 4 youth

Coach Carl said it best, "What a great tournament weekend. I hope you all feel a huge sense of pride for the performance we put in on all the teams and on the sidelines. I know that all the coaches do. SB Flow showed up in Santa Monica ready to play with great spirit and energy.

This was easily our program's best showing at Beach of Dreams, with our U20 open teams placing 2nd and 8th in a field of 10, our first-ever-girls team placing 3rd in a field of 4, and our U15 junior high team placing 3rd in a field of 7.

More importantly than how we placed, you all played with incredible spirit, enthusiasm and energy. You kept it fun and positive while playing hard every point. You all made huge strides individually in your development as players in terms of fundamental skills, field sense, timing, and fitness. And each team came together with fantastic chemistry and flow. It was awesome to watch you all put so much out on the field, and it was even more gratifying to see how that effort and attention translated into learning and forward progress on your developmental journeys as ultimate players. Wow. There's nothing quite like a tournament to drive that kind of transformation, and you all took full advantage of the opportunity. Well done!"

For the first time ever, the Aviators are playing in Santa Barbara. Come out and see the Aviators take on the Oakland Spiders at San Marcos Senior High School. We’ll have food, fun, and all the entertainment you could ever ask for at an affordable price.

This is the best way to spend your evening if you want to reconnect with friends, have a fun date, or entertain the whole family with music, interactive games, a kids zone, and of course, a match of the most exciting sport around!

If you’ve never been to an Aviators game, you don’t know what you’re missing! This isn’t a few friends tossing a frisbee at a backyard BBQ….you’ll see some of the top athletes in the world running, jumping, and diving through the air in an effort to make it to Championship Weekend!
