I often get asked which job I like more… being a photographer or a nurse?
My answer is I love them both! Of COURSE photography is more fun, but being a nurse in a hospital setting really makes me appreciate photography all the more!
My jobs allow me to be with people and serve them on the happiest/ saddest / scariest days of their lives. I get to hold families so close in the hospital when they lose their loved ones and I get to celebrate as a photographer (sometimes as a nurse!) with births, proposals, graduations and so much more.
You can bet I’m overjoyed on wedding days to see couples surrounded by the ones that love them & I truly think that knowing and seeing how fast time flies has helped me hone my craft into the work you see today.
It’s the hard nurse moments that make the sweet photography memories that much sweeter!

Tonight’s elopement has me so excited for my upcoming Spring/Summer weddings! I took a huge step back from weddings when my boys were born & now I take on less than 10 a year!
I want to make sure I can serve my clients & family well! I have room for 2 more weddings this year & just opened my 2025 books 📸

Thankful for these boys & that Keith is pretty great with a camera 💙 I can’t wait to get these photos up on my walls.
Some of you know our house was flooded 2 months ago when our new fridge was being installed & we’re finally moving back in! We have new floors & fresh paint & these photos to decorate our bedroom with.
We should be getting back to “normal” - so many of you have asked me if I’m having fall minis and I’ll be posting dates & sign ups tomorrow so stay tuned!

I personally love the feeling of “being done for the day” - you can check the family photos off the list and don’t have to worry about sunburns, overtired kids & typically the weather isn’t an issue since Florida likes to wait till the afternoons for a good storm 🌨️
You can make your dinner reservations & not worry that everyone will be hangry during the session 🍝
I’ve never had a family regret getting up early to make this happen. I had a dad tell me it’s the only sunrise they had ever watched as a family & that it made such an impression on him 💙

5 times. I think that’s my record for # of times Florida weather caused me to reschedule family portraits, but last night we got beautiful golden light & I got 5 kids to look at me at once which is all that I can ever ask for 😍

Last week was challenging because the weather was all over the place! Storms would roll up so fast we’d be running off the beach. Some of my clients were kind enough to follow me to second locations to dodge rain. 2 sessions had to be rescheduled to Friday so I shot four sessions in one day! I will always do my best to make sure you get some good images! I truly understand how much time it takes to get yourself & your kids ready and drag them out! If you’re vacationing on Amelia Island… book the session! You won’t regret the memories 💙

I love elopements the most. I love signing the marriage certificate as a witness. I love feeling like I’m in on the secret. Even if it’s not a “secret” I feel like capturing and preserving these moments are such a huge honor because friends and family are seeing these photos at that’s the way they are sharing in your day!

At every session where there’s little kiddos present I stop and ask myself what is mom going to appreciate in 5, 10, 20 years… and yes, she will love a photo of her and her kids looking and smiling directly at the camera, but I bet it’s shots like this that make her smile. Let your kids be kids at their photo session, it’s my job to make sure you get some sweet & happy moments like this one 💙

One of my sweetest friends tied the knot last Saturday! I had the honor of photographing their sweet day and Keith was their wedding officiant - which made this day even more fun to be a part of! I am so bad at keeping this FB page updated, but wanted a permanent spot for Kirsten and Devin's photos to live so here they are!
