On a bluff high over the serene vastness of Lake Michigan, Lauren and Jake exchanged vows as waves whispered below and laughter carried through the air. It felt like their own corner of the world. This one felt like a novel: a father’s song in Russian, a mother translating with care, a groom who knows how to choose his words, and a bride whose energy fills the margins. He writes; she radiates; together they made the boardwalk feel like a scene you wander into and don’t want to leave. The river gave us a steady rhythm and the boardwalk gave us a sterling stage.

Videography may be where I spend most of my weekends, but photography was my first love, and photographing weddings like Emma & Tim’s remind me why.

Emma & Tim’s day was steeped in meaning that felt like beautiful moments frozen in time: a third generation saying “I do” at Our Lady of Consolation, the same classic car that once carried Emma’s mom, and a reception that filled The Hancock Hotel with smiles, happy tears, and the kind of love that’s contagious to everyone in the room.
