Life Update:

I’m still here and have been working behind the scenes of instagram. I’ve taken some much needed time to focus on family and especially our brand new 1 year old.

But I’m back! Excited to show you what has been up to this past year and looking forward to new projects on the horizon.

First up is a very special first birthday party who’s theme was planned by his brother and sister since birth. 😂

With a name like Cassius, a boxing themed party seems appropriate. 🥊

My journey of living internationally has placed me in many different positions and opportunities. Currently in Milan, my journey has brought me to join a beautiful lifestyle brand, .

Together, we are launching the brand with an inaugural event, Black Girls Brunch.

This event will be held on the 28th May in Milan.

A brand focused on curating an elevated black experience through connectivity, food and good fun.

All are welcome as this day will be focused on coming together to celebrate black women.

GLE has been busy but for reasons other than planning events.

We are adding another one to our family and couldn’t be happier. And it’s a BOY!

The planning also didn’t stop when it came to our gender reveal shoot. Monochromatic large size balloons equipped with matching tassels for this BIGGER Sister and BIG Brother. 💗💙

One main focuses I have when setting up an event is the guests point of view.

As they walk in, where will their eyes go? What will they see first? Is it in their line of sight? It’s important for your event to make sense not just by theme but by set up and your floor layout. Navigate your guests eye with decor, details, entertainment, attractions and more. Create those photographic memories so that they can carry it with them when they leave. 🤩

The state of the world just keeps getting stranger…

Omarion, Flurona, and all the other things have made working in the event industry very up and down. It’s even affected personal events I would usually do during this time, like my baby boy Justin's birthday party we had to cancel last week.

Remember I told you guys a couple posts ago that customization would be HUGE in 2022?

Here’s an example of how customizations can add a special touch to an event. I planned and executed this Stranger Things themed birthday party. But the theme doesn’t JUST feel like the iconic tv show, the theme also feels like the birthday girl!

👉🏽Incorporating her name into the tv show’s font
👉🏽& Incorporating guests of honor into the bar menu

…are two special touches that become focal points of the overall party experience. 🌟

This client really envisioned an intimate gathering with girlfriends]. I brought it to life by selecting a beautiful apartment in Milan as the venue. Literally a baby shower feel in a living room setting.

One of my biggest tips when planning an event?

Source more than you need so you have plenty of options. For this client, I purchased more than was needed for the display so that there would be flexibility in setting it up. After putting together the original vision, I worked with the client to edit the work by adding and removing some elements until we nailed the vision 100%.

I had the absolute pleasure of creating Luca’s World! A magical world where Luca has the best 5th birthday ever. 🦸🏻‍♂️🌟… all from afar!

The vision for the party was Ryan’s World theme. Planning this party from a distance, I was brought on to provide customized details as well as allowing Mom & Dad to enjoy the party as well. I took the direction all from Italy, while my team back in the states made it come to life through the customized details in table decor, balloons cake design and more!

Food!
Let’s talk about food! I know we all love food. I love food. My family loves food and of course guests love food.

A well fed guest makes for a great party. When planning this birthday celebration for my daughter, we had as many kids as adults. So different palettes call for different spreads.

When I did an Instagram search for catering companies in south Jersey, a few new companies popped up and .nj caught my attention right away. Who does not love a good grazing board so when I came to them to create an adult and kid friendly grazing selection, they jumped at the idea and exceeded all my expectations.
