About a year ago I got my first concert gig. Haven't done it since but I was a great experience and I learned a ton from it. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to get a few more local bands interested in live photos! This band was and they were up 2nd that night and they killed it! They're the band playing over the photos. Badass right?

These were some of the first portraits I ever took as a photographer. That was about 7 years ago. After spending these years honing my skills as a photographer, I'm now setting out to do it professionally. These were also shot on a manual 50mm lens. I was lucky I even nailed the focus 😅😅

Saturday morning I went out with .of.focus.studio to a free car show at Coors field. I haven't shot a car show on digital before so I figured it was a good time to give it a shot. I have to say I love how some of the photos came out. I love the colors and contrast I was able to pull out of these images. I think I have a decent eye for car photos.

I just got these photos back from photography from when we went out on Colfax with our medium format cameras. Both rocking the .official cameras. It sucks film is so expensive to develop right now, I'm sitting on 10 rolls of the stuff.

Another year under the belt. It was a pretty exciting year and so far 2024 is looking to be just as good! There's going to be a lot of changes this year so I hope you'll join me for them!
As you know I went to Yellowstone National Park this year and I still have a ton of pictures to post. Mostly of Bison but nevertheless they're finished photos!

In June, we had a family reunion at Yellowstone National Park. I rented a 600mm lens and had a blast shooting wild life. We saw all kinds of different animals but there were plenty of Bison everywhere. These are just four of my favorite shots I got of them.

"Foggy Tennessee Morning"

Here's another little set of 35mm film I took when I visited my family last Christmas. A cool fog rolled into the area and I had to get some shots. I'm pretty sure I ran out of the door when I saw it. I'm happy with how they turned out. The last photo is just a spooky trail we found when hiking. I just had to put four in 😆

The best adventures are ones you don't take alone. Chasing adventures, breathing mountain air, and making memories with the best crew. The bros came up from Texas to get some of that March winter weather. Of course I had to get it on film!

This was my first concert photography gig with the Denver band Hashtronauts. It was a great show and I definitely learned a lot with all the low lighting involved. I had to use some Topaz AI to get rid of the noise but I'm still happy with how a lot of the shots came out. Definitely need to bring a faster lens if they're only being back-lit!

"Painting with Light and Water"
I got these beautiful shots on my way to Ouzel Falls last year. It was an amazing but decently harsh hike to get these shots. The incline could be brutal at times but the waterfalls were all worth it. I can't imagine not being able to go out and explore everything the colorado wilderness has to offer.

Super excited to post these. These photos are from my first model shoot since moving to Denver. I rented the location and we made some great art. The location was incredible. And the awesome came out to be one of our models! She was awesome and a pleasure to work with!

Every first Saturday of the month, the big local church has a vintage car show in the parking lot. I've only gotten to go once so far but these shots are also special because this is the first roll of medium format film I shot. I was still learning how to shoot on film and I accidentally tore my roll of 35mm from this event in half 🥺🥺.
Friday's post will be a little bit different from everything so I hope yall tune in for it.

So these next couple posts are from a trip to Chicago last year and I took them on 35mm film. I had a roll and a half but these 8 are definitely my favorite. I have to say since moving onto film really inspires the shots.

I don't get to do engagement shoots often but I love it when I get to. One of my wife's coworkers asked if I could get some shots of them and I couldn't say no. So we went south of Boulder to Flatirons Vista and got some amazing shots. We weren't the only ones out there doing engagement shoots either. The area was beautiful and I think these all worked out.

I've just recently started on my own journey of self-improvement. I became too complacent with everything so it was definitely time to make a change and sometimes that those first steps out are baby steps. That's what these photos represent to me. My first baby steps with photography in Colorado. These were some of the first photos I did when getting here. I actually bought my first pair of hiking boots the same day so I could walk around the park comfortably.

Earlier this year I managed to wake up early enough to catch the hot air balloons that take off from a small lake close to where I stay. I would always wake up and see these guys rise over the trees. Sometimes 4 or 6 at a time. So I made my way down there and captures them on a 70-200mm lens and some film which I will be posting at another date!
Has anyone ridden a hot air balloon? My wife wants to try but I hate slow moving heights 🤣🤣 how was it?

I had a shoot planned in Boulder but after a last minute cancelation I was walking around getting some street photography on a 85mm. It's a lot of fun when you limit your equipment to expand your creativity.
The bike was just cool but the other three are some of my favorite shots from that day.

I ventured up to Michigan's Upper Peninsula with @4.elements.photos in hopes of capturing the Northern Lights. While we weren't successful because of overcast skies at night we both managed to grab some great shots.
