First look and vows during a formal session is my favorite! The first look takes away the big wedding jitters. And can you even with that adorable reaction from this groom? You can also have your vows in a more intimate setting for those that don’t want to say them in front of everyone during the ceremony. Either way, finding what works best for you is important for the best possible photos 😍

Since it’s cloudy out, we’re continuing with this cloudy spring session. This spot is beautiful in the sunshine as well but I think I prefer the clouds! It was windy and cold but this family did so to go with the flow.

After today’s cold and windy session, I’m missing these warm summer nights 😍 I’ve known since the 8th grade! And while we’re both super busy with our families and life and don’t see each other nearly enough, it’s a really great part of my job to be able to capture these memories for her. Photography keeps me connected to a lot of people and I feel really grateful for it.

Normally my formal sessions are about 1-1.5 hours but we really wanted to spend a good amount of time in Snow Canyon as well as the temple. We upped it to a 2.5 hour formal session and there are SO MANY great images from this evening. What patient and kind people for putting up with the wind, a long session, and me and being crazy 🤪

On this windy day here in southern Utah, I found it fitting to post this windy formal session! We had the first look in this dried riverbed that was pretty shielded from it though which was nice 😍
