Rhythmic Elixir Live DJ Mixtapes Indie Hip-Hop

Rhythmic Elixir has been a longtime dream of mine; an outlet where us DJ’s can take a break from reality, escape and have fun mixing, cutting, scratching, beat juggling, the tunes WE like for a change. Lets face it. When your job is being a DJ for a particular corporate radio format, a wedding, or a party etc. It’s our job to cater to the customer/audience etc. At times, it is easy to get caught up feeling bummed out playing the same “hot, new summer track” five times in a single night and it becomes more of a job feeling rather a passion.

The Rhythmic Elixir vision is to be an alternative avenue in which myself and my fellow Dj friends can get away with playing records that we love.

Not necessarily the normal pop music which floods the tv and radio. I am primarily focused on breaking, new independent hip-hop records, Rhythmic Elixir is intended to be a reputable hub designed for discovering and sharing new music. However, I would love to see this movement grow and evolve to include electronic music of all styles as well as funk, soul, rock, and jazz mixes. An outlet to promote self-creativity by sharing live dj mixes, posting traditional/themed mix-tapes and beat tapes, etc.

I wanted to create a movement, a community, for the fellow djs, producers, musicians, artists, fans, and lovers of music alike all while staying true to the dj culture that made me who I am today. Most importantly, have FUN spreading our art and doing what we love. There are not many feelings that compare to introducing a fan to a new record they never heard before and watching their face melt.
