“We call it, ‘our weekend on the Basnight compound.’ We started off the day before; our family and wedding party all came to the venue where we had our rehearsal/dinner. Afterwards, we spent time relaxing by the lake and the hot tub in the bridal suite at Southern C’s Farm. The gentlemen enjoyed driving around on the golf cart back to the groom’s quarters.

It was a fairytale waking up next to my best girls. They hid me upstairs in the beautiful bridal suite while the men came over and cooked us a huge brunch. Our makeup and hair team made sure they accommodated everyone’s diverse hair textures and complexions while the girls drank mimosas in our matching robes. One of my favorite memories was gifting my mom and dad on the balcony, which overlooked the lake through stained glass windows where we would be walking down the aisle.

My husband and I chose to exchange personal vows on the lake dock when we did our first look. It was so special to share our excitement for the day to come.

We wish it would have lasted longer! I am sure everyone says this, but my husband and I would always go out to dance the first few years of us dating. It took us back to our earliest memories. We were able to spend time having special dances between just the two of us, but we wish we had extended the dancing by at least an hour longer.” ~Kelsey
