Anyone who knows me, knows I have a bit of a thing for Christmas and Christmas decorating....this has been a lifelong passion of mine.
Yesterday, I had the absolute honor and pleasure of designing for a Christmas wedding, (made extra special because it was the daughter of an elementary school friend)! This was not just any Christmas wedding, it was the quintessential New England of Yesteryear Christmas wedding.
Located on Sturbridge common, the Publick House dates back to the late 1700s. When I arrived, there was snow cover on the ground and a christmas tree lot just outside the historic inn and restaurant. I was immediately transported back to Christmas in colonial times with a generous side of Norman Rockwell, small town Christmas vibes.
I have gone to the Publick House many times to eat, the Thanksgiving dinner and Prime Rib are amazing. No visit is complete without having at least one of their pecan sweet rolls (and taking a dozen to go from their bakery shop).
This was a long and meandering post, but I wanted to try and convey how special it was to spend a few hours at this magical place yesterday. If you are out that way, check it out.
Wishing Amanda and Ryan a long and happy future! 🎁 ❤️🎄
Some set up photos are attached! Can't wait to see professional photos. 😊
