Hi there! As I’ve noticed many new faces here at Weddings by Vara, I thought it would be a great time to reintroduce myself and share a bit about my journey. 🌸

My name is Umul Vara, but I go by Vara. Yes, it’s my last name—that’s a long story for another time! 😉

I grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma, and I have a postgraduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Before diving into the world of weddings, I worked with the special needs population, a job I absolutely loved and one that not everyone can do.

I moved to Dallas in 2016 and started Weddings by Vara in 2018. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I’m so grateful for all the amazing clients and experiences along the way.

When I’m not planning weddings, I love exploring cute coffee shops and trying out new restaurants with delicious food. I’m also a big fan of reading—I used to read about 8-9 books a week (I do miss those days, lol). 📚☕
