Every wreath is definitely unique, and made with love!
Like literally worked on at night, outside, sometimes even after soaking through multiple sets of rain gear at your full time job and all you want to do is stay inside (that kind of love). 😂

Wreaths will be limited this year (this lady is going to CDL school), but they will be available this Saturday at the Lynden Highschool from 9am- 4pm. Hope to see you there! Happy holidays friends! 🎄

Just a friendly reminder, we are a couple days away from the Lynden Highschool Arts and Crafts Fair! We still have quite a few Mount Tacoma (white double tulip) bulbs available, as well as ranunculus (telecote white and purple), and garlic (Duganski, Nootka Rose, Crystal Inspiration, Purple Glazer, and Chesonok Red). We also have a couple silver dollar eucalyptus available, as well as all the holiday goodies! Hope to see you there!

It might not look like much to the untrained eye, but another 500 plus garlic went in today, bringing our count to over 700, with some more to go! This past week we also added two new varieties, bringing our total to 7 different varieties. Every variety is a little different; flavor profile fresh vs roasted, savory vs spicy, clove count, wrapper thickness, and storage life.

If you are still hoping to plant garlic, it's not too late!
We will also have some available this coming Saturday at the Lynden Highschool Holiday Market! 🧄

This year we focused on solely getting red tulips (which we ordered months ago) for Valentine's day. By the time the tulips were getting packaged to ship, they were completely out and substituted with a double white called Mount Tacoma. We were able to order some red ones from another supplier. Although we love white flowers and are keeping some, we don't need 500. These tulips are late bloomers (arrival is probably going to be mid to late April). They would be great for wedding work, but they are also just great for enjoying; especially after a long dark and soggy pnw winter. Tulips definitely make me happy in the spring, they usually are blooming with the pears and magnolias, and just offer a sense of hope. These tulips will be available this weekend at the Ferndale Highschool Trinkets and Treasures Market. They will also be available next weekend at the Lynden Highschool Holiday Market. Imagine the charming lady tulips in the video, but white.

Flowers aren't your thing? We also ordered two new types of garlic that we will also have available (we just don't have space for it all).

🧄Nootka Rose- a silver skin (with rose streaking) soft neck
🧄Duganaki- a purple hard neck that is very pungent (but becomes savory once cooked)

This past weekend we said goodbye to the dahlias! We worked on tilling in Daniel's garden plot, and put down cover crop. If you feel behind don't worry, we only have 200 of our garlic cloves in (which is a fraction of what we're working on). Seeds are ordered for next season, and a lot of dreaming is happening. Bulbs arrive this week! Ranunculus will start getting presprouted and tulips will be scheduled for hydroponic trays soon enough! We will have extras available over the next two weekends! Holiday wreaths are started, and will be at this weekend's market. We're in the time of year where it almost feels more busy than our summer market season (it's just a little more dark and chilly). Just a little farm update!

Hello friends! Feel like it's been a while, now that we are out of the groove of our weekly markets. We are T minus two weeks away from the Trinkets and Treasures Market at Ferndale High School!
What to expect?
❄️ Produce: our peppers and tomatoes survived or killing frost in the high tunnel, we're crossing our fingers they make it to our November markets as well. We also have cool crops like kale and lettuce, and we still have garlic!
❄️flowers: we are hoping to have fresh (our Skagit crops are still going) and we will definitely have dried as well!
❄️ Bulbs and Corms- we have a limited selection of garlic, but for all of our flower friends we will also have select tulip bulbs and ranunculus corms!
❄️ Holiday goodies - I know it feels weird to think about it already, but we will have wreaths, dried arrangements, and ornaments.
❄️ Silver Dollar eucalyptus starts

Fall farming in a nutshell.
Picking peppers in the pouring rain and finishing off with picking tomatoes by headlamp. All while counting our blessings that we're still doing this, and frost has yet to visit.

These past few days of working in the high tunnel, and I can't help but think back to this picture. This was from the night before our first frost, two years ago. We made little tunnels over the pepper rows, and we were doing the last harvest. Both of us work full time jobs that are predominantly outside; harvesting in the cold rain at night, after working all day in the rain was miserable. Definitely makes you feel accomplished when you look back to see how far we have come in our last few years (can only imagine what the next couple will look like (we've been planning like crazy for next year😉)). As of right now, things look amazing (we're hoping we have a later November frost like last year), we will still have produce available. Right now we have large quantities of green beans, various peppers, and garlic. We also still have fall Gold raspberries and cherry tomatoes (sweet 100 and honeycomb). In our November markets, we will also be offering select ranunculus corms, in addition to holiday wreaths and arrangements.

****Upcoming dates! ****
- October 11- Azusa Garden Center on highway 20; 11am-3pm
- November 8, Ferndale Trinkets and Treasures, 9am-4pm
- November 15, Lynden High School Christmas Arts and Craft Fair 9am-4pm
- February 14❤️- Valentine's Day Flowers (we picked out some of the most beautiful red double tulips for growing this year)!
