Juanita MORE! "The Most Painted Drag Queen in San Francisco" "The Most Painted Drag Queen in San Francisco"

Juanita MORE! is a denizen of the limelight.

For two and a half decades, the tireless hostess has blitzed San Francisco with high glamour, drag irreverence, danceable beats, culinary delectables and a philanthropic heart that has illuminated the entire city. She travels San Francisco by day with her trusty sidekick French Bulldog Jackson and at night with a bevy of the cities most handsome boys. Miss MORE!’s annual Pride Party bash raises mo

ney for some of the city's most needy organizations and is simply touted as “the best party at Pride.” Juanita has been bestowed awards from every spectrum of the LGBTQ community.

This past Sunday's JM! Pride party was magical. It was great to be surrounded by so many people who, like me, are feeling the weight of our world, yet still sharing joy and love. There were smiles, kisses and hugs everywhere I turned. The community came together to celebrate and express who we are. As I've said, it's hard to feel joyful and free when unspeakable things are happening in our world. The magic in the air on Sunday made me feel stronger and more connected to my chosen family during these difficult and trying times. Loads of Love to everyone who participated.

We raised over $130,000 from the party, with additional donations still being received. This donation will help the Transgender Law Center continue doing its direct legal expertise that will help protect and advance the rights of transgender and gender-nonconforming people across the country.

From TLC's Executive Director, Shelby Chestnut, "The JM! Pride Party was the highlight of Pride weekend. I am beyond touched that Juanita chose to honor TLC like this. Thank you for supporting us, together we are a force that can't be stopped! "

San Francisco drag queen Juanita MORE! throws what has been touted as the “BEST” party of the year over Pride weekend in San Francisco. Miss MORE! continues to raise the bar with this annual extravaganza. It is one of the biggest non-profit events of the weekend that supports some of San Francis...

Titled “Dolores”. This piece brings together the spirit of Q***r immigrants and the enduring legacy of activist Dolores Huerta to demand visibility, dignity, and justice in today’s climate of protest across California. At a time when immigrants and LGBTQIA+ communities continue to face erasure and violence, this work stands as a bold reminder that we are here, we have always been here, and we will not be silenced.

Drawing from Huerta’s powerful call to action—¡Sí se puede!—the design honors the intersection of Q***r identity, migration, and labor rights. It is a visual rallying cry rooted in resilience, resistance, and the belief that collective power can create lasting change. J MAnuel Carmona & Lemes • The Eyelien

I know we’ve been a bit quiet on this front, but rest assured we are ACTIVE behind the scenes.

So far in March MCSSP has given 2 trainings, is preparing for 2 more, and is reworking our presentation platform so we can begin to train trainers.

There is never a dull moment!

We have launched our Roy Mora scholarship fund and shared the application with many schools, families and individuals.

We are working on another grant (due the end of this month) and plotting on how to hire a grant writer so we can further our outreach.

With love and solidarity…Hope for the future and light in the dark.

Your team at MCSSP
