It really isn’t as expensive as you think it is to rent, and really gives your table that WOW factor. It also helps to fill out your big round tables more, which means you can invest less in a centerpiece or have a smaller scale centerpiece.

Wedding Tip Wednesday: Favors

This may be an unpopular opinion, but only buy favors if they have a practical use! Don’t get them just to have them. We have seen so many favors go in the trash at the end of the night! What do you think, favors or no favors?

Wedding Tip Wednesday: Mailing Wedding Invites

Nowadays in the wedding industry, we see all these beautiful flat-lays. BUT what they don’t tell you is that weight matters when you are mailing. Wax seals, multiple cards, paper thickness, etc all factor into if a normal postage stamp can cover the weight of your invite. Another thing to keep in mind is thickness, if you have a seal or tie or anything that causes the envelope to bulge it may not qualify as flat, which is separate postage fee.

If you are unsure take it to a local post office to have them weigh it and tell you if it qualifies as “flat”. The worst thing is to mail them out only to get an ugly stamp across the front because you didn’t know the regulations!

Ladies, let’s make sure we capture all the beauty and essence of YOU during your bridal era! Bridals can be a separate session scheduled before your wedding day. You can add some time onto wedding day if your timeline allows. Or you can totally put the dress back on and get all glammed up after wedding day! After the wedding bridal portraits are becoming more common due to late arrival or alterations and not wanting to wash your dress if it gets dirty!

Wedding Tip Wednesday: Reasons to have a Seating Chart!

1. You can have less tables at the reception. When you map out where everyone is going to sit, you don’t need buffer seats because you know who is coming.

2. You have a plated dinner that requires your guests to chose an entree option. Seating charts allow for ease of service during dinner to ensure each guests gets correct meal selection!

3. It’s an extra design element to have fun with! For instance, the wedding featured they had an acrylic stand alone seating chart that matched all their signage and centerpieces!

It’s so important when you are dress shopping to do all the things: move around, sit in a chair, bend over, rock your favorite dance move, etc. Make sure you feel comfortable doing all the things.
