POSITIVE IMAGE PERFORMING ARTS

In 2005, North Carolina A&T graduate, Courtney Porter opened up her own dance studio called Positive Image Performing Arts in Winston Salem, NC. When she opened her doors in 2005 she had 17 students, now she has 112 in her 11th year. Her students have won many awards on both regional and national levels. Last year some of her students were paid to dance in a Debbie Allen touring production and her

studio was featured on the Lifetime TV show, Dance Moms. offers classes in Praise Dance, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Tumbling and Cheerleading. More than teaching the art of dance teachers at P.I.P.A. enjoy teaching life skills and teaching their students how to be great people first and great performers second.
