Festival Information
This is a Walking Pay-as-You-Go Festival. There are No Admission Fees. Parking Fees:
Oyster Festival Parking – Friday is $10.00 and Saturday is $20.00. These parking fees offset Festival expenses and contribute to the programs of the Oyster Festival. West Side of Town:
Oyster Festival Parking on the West Side Town – Route 602-Old Virginia Street:
Friday parking is $10.00 and
Saturday parking is $20.00. Handicapped parking is available on the West side of Town – Corner of Red Hill Drive and Old Virginia Street. Handicap parking fees are donated to the K-9 Alert Search & Rescue Dogs. Handicapped Parking on Friday will be first come-first serve to park inside Town. East Side of Town:
Rosegill – Route 227 will be available for parking. $10.00 on Friday and $20.00 on Saturday. There will be areas available for handicapped parking. Shuttles will be available. From Rosegill Field to the Exxon Gas Station in town. (10:00 am-4:30 pm). Friday, the Town of Urbanna will be Closed to All Vehicle Traffic from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM for the Fireman's Parade. During this time, movement of traffic within the town will be limited. Saturday, the Town of Urbanna will be Closed to ALL Vehicle Traffic from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM for the safety of festival guests. Your safety at the Oyster Festival is important to all of us here in Urbanna. Please comply with the following festival safety rules:
No Pets. No Private golf carts and/or ATV type vehicles within the town festival limits. No Alcoholic Beverages. A Water Taxi will be operating Friday & Saturday – Call Channel 68. $2.00 per person. The use of the Upton's Point Marina dinghy dock is available. Festival Dates and Hours:

Clear the streets, the parade starts in 30 minutes!
Leading the parade today are our Grand Marshal, Aubrey Hall, and Captain, Ray Rodgers. Be sure to give them a cheer as they go by!
Following the parade we'll hold the NuCanoe raffle drawing at the reviewing stand (in front of the fire house).
You still have a few more hours to catch live music and fill your belly. Make sure you hit the waterfront too and visit our community vendors along the way.

Raffle tickets are still available for purchase at the information trailer (corner of Virginia Street & Rappahannock Avenue). Drawing will be after the parade. Thanks again to Green Top Hunt Fish for their donation!

Leading the Fireman's Parade tonight is the restored 1941 Ford fire truck used as the first truck in Urbanna. It will make a solo pass along the route as a tribute to our first responders and then be followed by other participating units.
After the parade wraps, head to the fire house field for live music by Exit 38 (must be 21+ to enter).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. We're on the search for volunteers to share a minimum of 2 hours of your time on Friday or Saturday.
Volunteer locations include: sales or brochure handout at UOF information trailer, beer and wine tasting events, VIP and hospitality tents, Saturday's parade lineup, waterfront, children's activity area, and potentially others.

We welcome you to attend the 63rd Urbanna Oyster Festival on November 6-7, 2020 - The Official Oyster Festival of the Commonwealth of Virginia!
The Town of Urbanna, with a population of only 500, closes its streets to host this two-day celebration of “everything oyster” drawing up to 60,000 visitors.
The Urbanna Oyster Festival has these fun activities: a shucking contest, two parades, oysters every way you can image, festival food, oyster heritage, Chesapeake Bay ecology, arts and crafts, live concerts, a dance, the queen’s crowning, children’s activities, wine & beer tastings!
Come by boat or by land.
