SunSquabi A Hydro Funk Experience
There’s a place, deep in the cosmos, where jam bands and electronic dance music intersect with rhythm-driven funk. You’ll feel like you’re floating here but not lost completely to the atmospheric elements. Instead, you’re tethered to an avant-garde spaceship with Colorado-based SunSquabi on the frequency. This cosmic wonderland is a melting pot of a variety of musical genres and it represents the future of music.
A three-piece suit - SunSquabi has been catching the eyes and ears of music fans around the world with their ever-evolving sound in the studio and on the live stage. SunSquabi has gained national attention for their unique way of producing music. The band’s live show can be described as an ‘Electronic Hydro Funk Experience’ that is different every single time out. SunSquabi continues to break down and analyze the expectations of what a “Live-Electronic” band should be. The band unveiled their newest album ‘Instinct’ in January of 2019. The 10 track LP finds the band at their highest peak as they have been dedicated to the metamorphosis of capturing elements in their live performances in the studio as improvisational jams have been fleshed out into full-blown songs and staples in their repertoire.
Combining the talents of Kevin Donohue (guitars/keys/production) Josh Fairman (bassist/synth) and Chris Anderson (drums). This project is a disciplined and structured group. It takes a seasoned musician to stay in the pocket for the sake of building well-developed lines and climaxes. To do that seamlessly requires patience and skill. “It’s kinda like breathing, honestly. Project based on the Mayan Riviera and created by Fernando Mendoza in early 2015 with the main purpose of bringing back the funk, soul, disco and African music to the modern world with fresh elements and organic sounds.”

“Boot Juice hails from the Hills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California. The band features electric and acoustic guitars, three vocalists, bass, drums, saxophone and trumpet. Inspired by the likes of The Band and Railroad Earth with an intensely energetic show reminiscent of Talking Heads, Boot Juice has been gaining buzz with their vibrant performances and party-sparking reputation. Shifting effortlessly between driving bluegrass and americana into cosmic rock’n’roll and swing. They deliver three part vocal harmonies and dynamic instrumental arrangements with a sultry dose of blues and soul. The collective effect leaves crowds little choice but to shake it down on the dance floor.

Boot Juice plays music that will attempt to bring you to the street corner, the river side, or the open highway. They released their debut LP album, Speaking in Tones, in May 2019 and followed in March 2021 with their second record, Shifting gears. The group is currently tracking its third LP, which will be released in 2023.”

“Born from the lush musical landscape on the front range of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, Mountain Rose is a new 6-piece Cosmic-Rock Funk ensemble that has been taking audiences by storm since its inception in 2019.

Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Samantha Nimerov, the band employs song-driven, catchy melodies combined with raw, focused energy to create an experience that draws the listener in, engaging them in ways usually attributed to much more experienced acts.

Combining elements of blues, rock, funk, jazz, Americana, psychedelic rock, and reggae, Mountain Rose offers a fresh perspective on the music that inspired generations, with a sound that is as much a familiar tribute to their musical forefathers as it is relevant, passionate, unique, and forward thinking.”

We’re suuuuper excited to bring Chris Cauldron to Vail! He will be throwing down some funky 60’s music @ Eagle’s Nest on Thursday 12.15 @ 1PM to celebrate Vail’s 60th Birthday! Champagne toast and cake included!

“Chris began his DJ career in the competitive New York City scene over a decade ago. After quickly acquiring multiple residencies and launching his first party brand Bass Oasis he continued to hone his craft at the legendary Dubspot Academy in
New York’s Meatpacking district, studying music production and recording.

It was also in New York that Chris began his career as music supervisor to hundreds of the worlds top nightlife and hospitality venues. In this field, he has crafted thousands of playlists spanning every genre you can think of, and this talent for creating atmospheres via track selection is always on display throughout his dj sets.

His sets can be difficult to describe, as he is comfortable in a variety of house-driven environments. But you can be assured the vibe will be smooth and driving, where you are constantly discovering your next favorite song.

In 2018, Chris moved his base to Colorado to launch his next party concept, Ski House. Produced alongside fellow djs Alex Golden and Austin Gavlak, this has become the go-to mountain rave, bringing big-market production and artists to these serene locations.

After a strong year with multiple releases on the Fantastic Voyage label, summer residencies in Portugal and the Hamptons, and performances alongside acts such as Rufus Du Sol, Eli & Fur, Carlita and Township Rebellion, Chris will be based out of Aspen with touring dates across the Americas.”
