From high school hallways to forever—Makenna and Weston’s love story is straight out of a teen movie (but with way better casting).

Between late-night drives after work, juggling sports, theatre, and endless to-do lists, they always made time for each other. Even after graduation, when life took them in different directions—Makenna to college in Gainesville and Weston straight into the workforce two and a half hours away—the distance never stood a chance. If there was an open space in their calendars, it had each other’s name on it. Always has, always will.

Now, after years of love, dedication, and a whole lot of ‘I miss you’ texts, they’re turning the page to their next chapter to marrying their best friend.

It’s Sunday night, and I’m wrapping up some website updates and checking emails.

I wanted to take a quick moment to share something with all my clients. Balancing personal texts and business messages on the same phone can get a little tricky, and sometimes messages slip through the cracks.

If you ever don’t hear back from a text, please shoot me an email instead! I check my inbox regularly from 10 AM to 5 PM, and often during the evening or in my downtime as well.

Moving forward, I’d love to keep all work-related communications through email. It helps me stay organized, avoid miscommunications, and ensures we have a clear record of everything in one place. Of course, I’m always happy to hop on a call—just let me know ahead of time so we can schedule it!

Bachelorette sessions have really taken off in the past few years, and working with Kim and her girls was such a blast! This was actually one of the first bachelorette sessions I ever did, and since then, I’ve had the chance to do several more.

Savannah, Georgia, you really know how to bring the best parties! If you’re a bride or know someone getting married, send them my way—I’d love to help plan the perfect session. This one was so much fun!

They brought a portable Bluetooth boombox and were dancing on a rooftop, and we even had people from the apartment windows across the parking garage watching us, totally entertained by our silliness. What a vibe!

Where it began, & some.

I was only twelve years of age when I discovered my passion for photography. It started with a family digital camera, that we took to every event or vacation. I remember my mother always telling me to be careful, and not to drop it. (since digital cameras were a bit more pricey back in early 2000.) I would always take portraits of plants, animals, or bugs. It always captured my attention at that age.
