Things your caterer needs to know if you are planning a wedding:

*Date
At Gourmet Guys, we give your special day all the attention you deserve by catering only one event per day. So, we need the date of your event to be sure that it is available.

*Budget
At Gourmet Guys, we want to give you the most bang for your buck. By giving us an estimate of your budget, we will be able to discuss the options to make your reception everything you dreamed of.

*Guests
This can be tricky. By having an estimate, we can give you a ballpark idea of the cost.
Obviously, the number of guests will affect the budget but at Gourmet Guys, we will not need a solid number until a week before the wedding.

*Food
This is the fun part of reception. At Gourmet Guys, we will sit down with you and discuss all options along with our chef. We provide a menu on our website but that is only a small part of what we do. Our favorite thing to do is to tailor each wedding to the bride and groom. So think about your favorites or family favorites that could possibly be added to the menu.

*Service
It is your wedding so follow your dreams and do what makes you happy. At Gourmet Guys, we offer plated dinners, buffets, heavy hor dourves, or any combination. Whether your event is formal, casual, or themed, we can design a menu to fit the occasion.

*Timeline
A wedding has many components: the ceremony; pictures; dances; and the reception. If you are planning on the majority of your pictures being taken after the ceremony, it usually takes about
45 minutes and your guests will need something to do. Appetizers are a great option and we offer many varieties to fit your budget.

*Alcohol
Gourmet Guys can provide a bartender and the insurance for your bar. When you use Gourmet Guys, you will be able to purchase your own libations.

Did you know that our chef, Mac Parks, is literally the best chef in Valdosta? It's true.

Mac is native to Valdosta. After attending VSU and a 6 year tour in the NAVY, he attended and graduated from The Culinary Institute of America (Class of 85). Chef Parks spent 20 years in the Pacific Northwest working in some of the finest resorts and on-site catering associated with the film industry.

Whether it is serving familiar fare or customizing your party, you will be assured some of the best local dining.

The Gourmet Guys are privileged to prepare the food for Break Bread, a ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of downtown Valdosta. For more than fifty years they have provided meals for the elderly, home bound citizens of Valdosta.
