Happy Mother’s Day!!! It’s been a crazy week; nonstop harvesting flowers and making arrangements to make it special for all the moms out there, rain all week, crazy gust of winds, flower van stuck in mud, and to top it off the electricity went out for over 18 hours. Whew what a week. Regardless, this is the best week of year dedicated to celebrate all of the wonderful, amazing, and loving Moms out there.

We've been away for a long while. Our winter was filled with a ton of clearing greenhouses, planting spring crops, digging older crops, splitting dahlias, and so many more. We have to take a pause on our garden work to enjoy Valentines and the best part is being surrounded by flowers!!! 🌺

There’s too much rain and wind today so we will not be able to set up at our Uptown Charlotte location. Come see us at Davidson Farmers Market tomorrow from 9-12pm to get your Easter 🐣 bouquets 💐 This week we have been working hard at the garden and I can officially say that we are done planting 30 rows!!! It felt like summer this week with all the North Carolina humidity and heat. Summer weather please hold back and let spring stay longer.

Loving the smell inside this greenhouse; sweet but not overwhelming. No wonder they’re called Sweet William!!!

PEONIES!!! These beauties are beginning to bud out! What out for them; one to two more weeks!!! You will be in love with them just as much as these ants! So here’s a little flower education::: Ants and peonies have a SYMBIOTIC relationship. The peony bud provides a sticky nectar for the ants. While the ants feed on the nectar, they protect their food source by chasing away other insects that come to feed on the bud. Once the peony blooms all of the ants will disappear. So don’t worry about the ants... they just live the nectar that the peony buds secrete.
