On Saturday we spent the day with Ellwood City Forge at Butler ARMCO Park in Slippery Rock. They celebrated their employees and we thoroughly enjoyed planning this one. We’ll share more soon!

Bsidespgh was this past Friday at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. This year, the organization had a record 1000+ registrants. Two speaker tracks throughout the day provided lots of education, and the many sponsors and villages on site provided for great networking. This was our 3rd (or 4th?) year coordinating this event and every year gets better!

Many of our events include some sort of trade show aspect, or something similar. Whether it is food vendors providing samples, crafters selling their wares, or cyber security companies marketing to professionals, we get the pleasure of working with many industries. We've learned a few things along the way.

Trade shows are a great way to exchange knowledge, products and services, ideas, industry details, and make connections with like-minded professionals. But how do you make it worth the investment? Here are just a few quick and easy tips, from our June newsletter.

A few things we did last month (that as a result our clients didn’t have to do), in no particular order:
📌 submit PO’s for vendor invoices post-event
📌 share sponsor setup information including shipping and loading dock details
📌 pickup signs and gift cards from printer and donors
📌 research specific targeted advertising options
📌 pack the SUV full of event supplies
📌 prepare financial spreadsheets showing every single expense and income item related to their event
📌 finalize menus and quantities for event meals, with no idea where registration numbers will land

Now that these things are off our clients’ to-do lists their time can be utilized growing their organization.

Friday was another hot and beautiful day on the golf course— this time for the Living in Liberty golf outing at Olde Stonewall.

Living in Liberty works to combat human trafficking in Southwestern PA by supporting survivors on the streets and in their safe home as well as providing community education about the realities of commercial sexual exploitation in our city.

(information security conference) is coming up on July 12th, and there are plenty of reasons to attend:

It’s a jungle out there, isn’t it? Trying to put all of the event pieces together yourself can be overwhelming, whether it’s a nonprofit fundraiser or a corporate conference, we get it. ☀️ It was a great day today at Light of Life’s Golf Outing in Memory of Tunch Ilkin, at Cranberry Highlands. Over $72,000 was raised to help the city’s homeless population!

We had a fun (and hot) day today raising funds for The Lighthouse Foundation at their golf outing. They feed over 250 families each week, and the number of households in need is constantly increasing. We’re grateful for the help they provide in our community, and grateful to work with them on their events.

Last night’s Crisis Center North’s Cocktails and Cuisine was so fun and Appleseed Events was honored to coordinate the event!

Just a few highlights:
💜 silent auction with over 50 items
💜 live auction with trips and experiences
💜 VIP experience for 75 people
💜delicious samples from 15 food and beverage partners
💜 paddle raise and paddle drop
💜 dozens of cookies at the cookie table
💜 awards for the judges’ favorite food and drink
💜 moving stories
💜 ~3” of rain (ok maybe not a highlight)
💜 ~ 400 people that came out to support domestic violence survivors

We had the pleasure of working the Pittsburgh Business Times Women of Influence event last night at Acrisure Stadium. We got to help setup/ decorate, and assisted with registration and cleanup. Isn’t the purple decor gorgeous? 🪻
